Chapter 1131 - 659: Jasper’s Surrender and the World Lord
When the sacred and dazzling holy light appeared, Jasper instinctively squinted his eyes.
But quickly, he realized something was amiss.
Under the illumination of that holy radiance, the battlefield that was once like a purgatory had completely vanished.
And all the warriors of the Isaac Great Forest Alliance Army, including lizardmen, centaurs, goblins, who had died in battle were resurrected.
They instinctively fumbled at various parts of their bodies, bewilderedly looking around.
Their memories remained at the moment before death, completely unaware of what had transpired.
Could it be that everything before was a dream?
Yet these resurrected warriors noticed the human army in the distance, and their companions who looked shocked, seemingly having experienced a fierce fight.
It was then they understood that the battles they had gone through were real, and they were actually resurrected.
Unlike the delighted rebirth, the clan leaders and warriors of the Isaac Great Forest Alliance Army were struck speechless by this "miracle".
Was the human before hero Jasper a divine being?
If he can achieve such feats, what is there that he can’t do?
For a time, everyone in the Isaac Alliance Army lost the courage to resist.
Some warriors even dropped their weapons, devoutly knelt on the ground, praying to Lis.
Within this small world of the [Swamp Lizard Man Nest], there were no divine believers, but this didn’t prevent the Great Forest’s various clans from having a certain belief foundation due to the presence of supernatural powers.
Similarly, some players were revived by Lis’s Legendary Divine Skill [Holy Song of the Living].
However, the players who were revived had not directly spent their rebirth counts at a resurrection point but instead stayed in spirit form around the battlefield watching.
As for those players who had already been reborn, Lis naturally could not resurrect them.
Lis looked at this scene, nodded in satisfaction.
To him before, this was not a simple task.
Although Lis’s ability now allowed him to realize resurrection on such a scale, achieving it perfectly was difficult.
After all, he was merely a "fake priest," and the revered World Tree Yggdrasil would not descend its power to help him complete the resurrection technique because of his prayers.
The Legendary Divine Skill [Holy Song of the Living] was entirely cast by Lis through his own power.
Yet it faced many challenges.
Such as controlling the souls of the deceased beings.
Every living creature possesses a soul which leaves the body after death.
Most souls, after a brief pause, journey to different places.
Devout believers’ souls ascend into the Divine Country of the deity they worship, becoming a Prayer;
Souls with heavy obsessions linger in the world, either dissipating or converting into vengeful spirits;
Some souls fall into the Nether River, journeying toward the Netherworld entering eternal rest, or fall into the Endless Abyss transforming into Abyss Worm...
Resurrection after death is a miracle to most creatures.
But it also has its limitations.
Which is that for resurrection to succeed, the soul must exist.
If the soul disperses, ascends to the Divine Country, or falls into Hell, resurrection is almost impossible.
Low-level resurrection techniques even require the complete corpse of the target.
Whereas high-level resurrection divine skills like [Holy Song of the Living], can be realized without a body, given enough cost.
Yet even so, the soul remains an indispensable requirement.
The stronger the Extraordinary Professionals, the stronger their souls.
After death, their souls linger in the body for a longer time.
The weaker the beings, the smaller their souls, and the greater the difficulty in preserving the soul.
For example, in the recent battle, quite a number of warriors from the Isaac Alliance Army died.
Since preparing to demonstrate power through resurrecting everyone, Lis aimed to achieve perfection.
And controlling all the souls of the deceased was the most troublesome aspect.
However, an ability that Lis had mastered previously perfectly solved this issue.
That was his new exclusive specialty [Ten Thousand Spirits Embodiment - Li Si]!
This specialty included an effect of [Your ability to control avatars is more keen and powerful, while avatars will self-adapt to different attributes of power, possessing corresponding special abilities].
The only special avatar Lis currently owns is the [Undead Avatar] with an Undead Demigod Divine Status as its core.
However, at the time, perhaps because Lis had just mastered this exclusive specialty, he did not feel any special ability of the [Undead Avatar].
Yet in later research, Lis quickly figured it out.
The special ability brought by the [Undead Avatar] is the control over the fire of souls of the deceased.
The Power of the Undead is essentially part of the rules of death, and for the undead, the most important is the soul fire.
Although the special power of Lis’s [Undead Avatar] is more about controlling the soul fire of undead creatures, controlling the souls of the battlefield’s deceased at this moment was not an issue.
The special ability brought by the [Undead Avatar] was quite a pleasant surprise for Lis.
This equated to opening up a whole new direction for him.
At the same time, it made him even more curious about the capabilities other special avatars could possess.
So through the ability of the [Dead Avatar], Lis could fulfill the preconditions for the Legendary Divine Skill [Holy Song of the Living], successfully resurrecting all who died in battle.
