In the seventy-second minute of the match, San Remo made substitutions.
In a Super Cup match like this, using it for training is perfectly fine.
Even if you start with all the main players for the championship, practicing after leading is also natural.
Continuously exhausting the main players after taking the lead would be laughed at.
Moreover, San Remo does need matches to help the new players adapt.
So... number thirteen, Fernandez, replaced number eleven, Bai Zhami.
Because of Lu Yang, Bai Zhami has switched to wearing the number eleven jersey.
This season, Lu Yang’s jersey number is seven.
Morici also received the number ten jersey.
Talista took the number nine jersey as the main central forward.
Bai Zhami received applause from the fans, having scored one goal and assisted once this match, performing heroically.
Moreover, he also scored in the previous Italian Super Cup, showing excellent form.
Additionally, number twenty-six, Moriba, replaced number five, Lam.
Number fifteen, Alme, replaced number fourteen, Palacios.
Three substitutions at once!
The intention of training is evident.
Sotu, wearing a shirt, with hands in his pockets, stood by the pitch looking mysterious.
A famed coach might be no more than this!
An aura of confidence, vision, and understanding of the game emanated from Sotu, charming countless spectators.
But on the other side, AC Milan’s Head Coach didn’t look so well.
A grand Champions League coach, being pressured by a Serie B coach.
This is really embarrassing.
Moreover... Izalelt’s departure also stirred leaving thoughts in the Head Coach.
On one hand, AC Milan’s strongest player has left.
On the other hand, the lineup aged further.
Lastly, fan expectations of the team have risen.
The management’s recall of Sogel stabilized many fans, but it wasn’t a good thing for this Head Coach – practically, the team had barely invested on the transfer market this year.
In such a state, hoping to retain the Champions League title?
Hoping to contest for the league title?
What are you thinking!
Is anything so beautiful?
Spending nothing yet earning sixty million, where’s the competitiveness?
If such investment won championships, then are other teams investing a billion each year fools?
Of course, the Head Coach has a contract with AC Milan.
In fact, he was even prepared to be dismissed by the team this year.
If he couldn’t retreat in time, being swept out by the team was only a matter of time.
He even hoped the team would dismiss him sooner, as he was ready for a new adventure.
There’s no way for him to achieve anything more at AC Milan.
That would be up to his successor.
The Head Coach looked toward Sotu.
Sotu must be AC Milan’s chosen best successor.
By then, after two or three years of dormancy, AC Milan might make a comeback and achieve glory again.
The management is considering player rotation, the players are considering their next steps, the Head Coach is considering the future.
This world, has too many variables.
In the eightieth minute, Sotu’s substitution proved effective.
Young player Moriba, playing in the defensive midfield position, after a brief confrontation while holding the ball against AC Milan’s midfielders, suddenly dribbled sideways creating space.
His physique was quite good, in this one-on-one confrontation, he was at ease, and it was difficult for the opponent to snatch the ball from his feet.
Very few six-foot-three players possess such excellent foot skills.
Pang!
After creating space, Moriba made a long pass, directly finding Talista outside the penalty area.
Talista looked annoyed.
Couldn’t this guy... learn from Delarre and send through balls with ease?
To be fair, Moriba’s pass, in vision, timing, and execution, was faultless.
It created a decent chance.
However, San Remo itself could deliver even more threatening passes.
Morici and Delarre were doing just that.
After their threatening passes, the receiving players had excellent shooting conditions, naturally increasing the chance of scoring.
Whereas Moriba’s pass also posed a threat but heavily tested the forward’s aerial duel and physical ability.
Receiving the pass, it was difficult to complete the shot immediately.
In other words, Morici, Delarre could nurture forwards.
But a midfielder like Moriba needs forwards to support him!
Pang!
Talista, with excellent physical capabilities, despite Chaloba being much taller, managed to head the ball to the unmarked Lu Yang cutting in from the right.
As Talista landed, he turned and advanced forward.
Chaloba quickly followed him.
Lu Yang received the ball, with Praxedes coming up, forming a defensive block with another center-back.
Seeing no opportunity to shoot, Lu Yang dribbled two steps forward, then also entered the penalty area.
But the ball remained outside the area.
With a heel flick pass, the ball stayed!
Pang!
Trailing behind, Morici delivered a long-range shot.
The ball curved slightly.
A stunning outside-foot shot!
Morici was very adept at such high-difficulty long shots.
Swoosh!
The ball skimmed the edge of the post and went in.
Five to two!
San Remo went wild!
"Wow! Morici scored!"
"A beautiful outside-foot shot! This is a world-class goal!"
"A breathtaking team goal! San Remo is on the right track!"
"Young Moriba’s offensive instinct was sharp, despite being a defensive midfielder, his style on the pitch was nothing like it! More like an attacking midfielder!"
