No one has as exaggerated a free kick scoring rate as Lu Yang.
His elevator ball has already been deliberately imitated by others, but the scoring rate is truly touching.
And let’s not even mention the earth-shaking spectacle of Lu’s Arc.
Sure enough, Morici spotted the problem at first glance.
"Lu, you want to take it?" Momo felt bitter inside.
Should’ve known better than to watch you.
With that eager expression on Lu Yang’s face, how could Morici not notice?
"This... isn’t good, right?" Lu Yang asked politely.
"Then should I kick it?" Morici couldn’t stand Brother Lu’s smug look, it was too annoying.
"No, no, let me try." Lu Yang stepped forward.
The crowd immediately erupted in cheers.
This is China!
This is Lu Yang’s home ground!
Whether they were fans of San Remo or AC Milan, everyone was first and foremost a fan of Lu Yang.
Because Lu Yang is, to date, the only Chinese soccer star to rise to fame!
He’s also the only patriotic star willing to spend wildly to give back to fans at home.
"Woosh!"
Lu Yang took a deep breath and started his run-up.
Bang!
The ball flew out.
Little Juninho’s Six Meridian Divine Sword activated!
What is referred to as the Six Meridian Divine Sword is not a specific style of free kick.
It refers to multiple styles of free kicks.
Perhaps Juninho’s most famous free kick is the Falling Leaves Ball.
This ball is similar to the elevator ball, but not entirely the same.
The elevator ball moves straight up and down with a larger range, and has strict distance requirements.
However, the Falling Leaves Ball has more left-to-right drift, with less exaggerated vertical movement, and can be applied to both medium and long-distance free kick shots.
Their names reflect their characteristics, very intuitively.
Beyond Falling Leaves, Juninho’s curved free kick, powerful free kick, and grounded free kick, among others, all pose significant threats.
This is why his free kicks are referred to as Six Meridian Divine Sword.
His style is not limited to one kind.
Each can be deadly!
This time, it’s... the Falling Leaves Ball!
The ball soared over the wall.
And started drifting left and right.
The AC Milan goalkeeper thought it was an elevator ball, decisively moving toward the lower middle side to save it.
This is the rule discovered by the goalkeeping community.
Even if they can’t save it, there’s a chance to use their arms or other parts to block the ball out.
Because an elevator ball descends.
But...
Swish!
The ball collided with the net, maintaining a height of about 1.3 meters above the ground.
This ball didn’t descend!
It wasn’t like an elevator.
It was like drifting leaves.
It seemed to soar without falling yet!
"GOAL! The ball is in! It’s one to one! San Remo equalizes the score!"
"Andrés led with a free kick, Lu Yang immediately equalizes with a free kick! Are they going head-to-head today?"
"This free kick is somewhat different from Lu Yang’s usual free kick style, it’s somewhat like the elevator ball but not quite, it’s more like a Falling Leaves Ball! It should be the Falling Leaves Free Kick!"
"Lu Yang’s feel for the ball is simply incredible! He is definitely one of the free kick masters currently in the world of soccer!"
Certain Lu is extremely excited.
However, Certain Jun is clearly in favor of AC Milan, so he said, "This free kick was indeed brilliant, but a free kick master demands very high skill and requires strong consistency."
"Lu Yang may become a free kick master in the future, but I think it’s premature to call him those words now."
"Similar to how the title of King of Long Shots would be revoked when Lu Yang leaves the Italian Third Division and Serie B unless he continues to score magnificent long shots against super strong teams like Real Madrid, Bayern, Barça, Manchester United, Chelsea!"
"And so it is with the free kick master!"
Their somewhat contentious exchanges made the director’s team nervous.
Do these two have a conflict?
We can’t have these two commentating together in the future, it’s likely to cause problems.
Sure enough, Certain Lu shook his head, "You say there could be controversy about King of Free Kicks, but for the free kick master, I believe Lu Yang is fully deserving! Don’t forget, his one hundred million euro-worth Curved Moon Blade saved the whole of Italy."
"Looking back now, without that one Lu’s Arc, there wouldn’t have been this year’s surprising European Cup! Such an achievement fully warrants the title of free kick master!"
Certain Jun also shook his head, "He’s too young! And not consistent enough! Unless he can score two free kick goals in one match, fans will find it hard to accept such a young, nineteen-year-old player being called a free kick master!"
"You have to know, every player in history who received the title of free kick master almost all accomplished scoring two free kick goals in one match! This is a hard indicator, and it cannot be lowered due to Chinese fans’ fondness for Lu Yang!"
The two went head-to-head, evidently beginning a live-stream banter!
Neither would back down!
