Chapter 1015 - 246: World Footballer of the Year Speaks Out, Golden Boy Award Announced
"Break Up! Stop debating what achievements Lu Yang needs to enter the Golden Ball ceremony, the result is out, no achievements are enough!"
"For the Golden Ball? Lu Yang bluntly said the Golden Ball is overthinking, he refuses to participate in this selection!"
"Legal route! Lu Yang warns the Golden Ball not to ride his coattails, or he’ll see French Football in court!"
"This might be the most unique player I’ve ever seen in my life! He regards the Golden Ball as rubbish!"
"Rude? Reckless? Young and aggressive? I would call him the first person to dare to break with injustice!"
"Hype? No! In Lu, I see the purest football!"
"Shaking off the quad-goal record? No, Lu Yang won more respect! And this, will never be forgotten by history!"
"Pro Evolution Soccer, for the next goal! PES has sent Lu Yang an endorsement contract, claiming Lu Yang’s spirit fits their purpose very well!"
"Arthas responds to PES, don’t ride our coattails without paying the endorsement fee, or you might get sued!"
"Hans’ column: The decline of PES rights, what’s next? Instead of shady moves to scam money, work hard on the Celestial Ladder system, respecting fans is the only way to gain their support! Also, embedding PES game ads in works of famous writers is an option, like bestselling author "A Fat Peach" is a great choice!"
"A Fat Peach: It’s written, PES mobile planning department, quickly send the money!"
After Lu Yang’s interview was released, the football world, which would have been excited at the end of the year, was now even more boiling.
Everyone underestimated Lu Yang’s attitude.
Especially those fans who were previously debating the number of goals.
Now there’s no need for any debate at all.
Because Lu Yang, simply doesn’t need it!
Such a statement, honestly, the Golden Ball has never encountered.
How powerful are they now?
Even if you know you have no hope of winning the Golden Ball, you have to attend in person.
And many years later, their prestige declined, and key players who knew they wouldn’t win stopped coming, leaving the Golden Ball helpless.
But even at that time, it was the number one award in the world.
Even then, no player dared to openly say they wanted to boycotted the Golden Ball, refusing to participate in its selection.
This makes it easy to understand how impactful Lu Yang’s voice was in this era.
He taught some players to reflect in advance on the relationship between professionals and award merchants.
That’s right, award merchants.
Because major awards receive a lot of investment and sponsorship, it’s not wrong to call them "merchants."
...
At the headquarters of French Football, in the meeting room.
The editor-in-chief of French Football, the person in charge of the Golden Ball project, major sponsors like Nike and Ah Ke, over twenty people gathered together.
On the big screen, Lu Yang’s interview was being played.
The atmosphere on site was quite tense.
"This is too much, why bother saying so much to someone like this? Just ban him directly!"
"Yes! Let him never be part of the selection for life!"
"Without the Golden Ball, he’ll never reach top fame, at best a second-rate star!"
"He has no idea of the giant he’s offending!"
"We need his traffic? Ha, this is the biggest joke I’ve heard!" a high-ranking member of the award committee spoke.
"Uh... in the same period over the past few years, the mentions and heat of our Golden Ball were much less than this year." Someone spoke awkwardly.
"Hmph, by how much? Does he think he’s that important?" This higher-up didn’t like Lu Yang, thinking he’s too popular?
"Eighty percent." Ah Ke’s executive spoke up.
Uh...
The room fell silent for a long time.
Watching those indignant people cool down.
Ah Ke’s executive continued: "And according to our operations department’s calculations, for the foreseeable future, all the way to the day of the Golden Ball event, he will account for at least twenty percent of the Golden Ball’s buzz!"
"This ratio is second only to the topic of whether Izalelt or Robben will win the Golden Ball this year."
"He’s important to us, we can’t block him. Otherwise... our company’s subsequent sponsorship won’t be in place. I believe... the opinion from Nike should be the same, right?"
The Nike representative nodded.
Both these sports brands have extensive experience in football, and even started with it.
Top clubs aside, most teams’ scouting systems definitely don’t match these giants’ grasp and judgment of player information.
Big data inherently holds endless value, and the widespread chain stores are no less than a form of super big data?
Recently hyped "Fantasy Godfather," "Dada Taxi," all have to do with super big data.
China only began to realize the importance of big data around 2010.
But the essence of big data has always existed, it just changed its term and medium.
While in Europe and America, they started profiting from big data long ago.
McDonald’s most profitable business is consulting; behind every world-class enterprise, there’s consulting business, mergers, and takeovers involved.
Currently, all business seems to ultimately lead to the plundering and competition for big data.
Therefore, what those who master big data say is always closer to the truth.
"HXLT and Luzzy750’s sales in Europe are rapidly rising amid recent controversies." Ah Ke’s representative said, "This should have been our wealth code, but now it’s being seized by others."
