Chapter 1063 - 999: Robbing the Slave Transport Fleet
Da Fei made up his mind, gritting his teeth: "Alright, I’ve decided to do it. What should I be aware of?"
Sona couldn’t help but be relieved: "First of all, once the ship hijacking is successful, my lord can’t appear publicly in the Naga Sea Domain anymore but should head straight to the Siren Sea Domain according to the original plan. Also, I will lend a hand!"
You finally decided to make your move! Da Fei felt a sense of relief: "Does that mean my other fleets can’t act alongside me?"
Sona nodded: "My lord can let the deputy officers lead the fleet on the road first, and then meet up in the Siren Sea Domain. However, your deputy’s fleet is carrying a large number of pearls, and without the main force, it’s a very dangerous situation. If my lord is uneasy, I’d suggest letting the other fleets stay in the city. Once you’ve achieved your goal, come back for them."
Da Fei’s eyebrows twitched: "Let them stay in the city then, I want to focus all my efforts on destroying that slave transport fleet!"
At this moment, Catherine spoke up: "Captain, to save time, let me take charge of the fleet. I’ll ensure it reaches the Siren Sea Domain safely."
Da Fei was suddenly taken aback: "It’s not safe! I don’t know the strength of the slave fleet and can’t give you many troops!"
Catherine shook her head: "Precisely because the Captain doesn’t know the strength of the slave fleet, there’s a chance they might escape our grasp, which could lead to the leak of your hijacking operation. Once exposed, even though the Thunder Spear City Lord wouldn’t directly confront you due to the contract, detaining our fleet in the harbor or demanding pearls as compensation for his losses isn’t impossible. Therefore, our fleet can’t remain here."
Da Fei suddenly realized: "Makes sense!"
Damn it! Isn’t it easy to secure even a single pearl? But without them having a ship, such pearls are wasted value, wasted time, isn’t it? Only in my hands can they generate wealth and create value, right?
Catherine continued: "Moreover, as a pirate, this is truly a test of my strength. I can’t always grow under the Captain’s protection!"
Da Fei’s heart tightened. Does this hint that she’s becoming more independent?
Sona nodded too: "Since this Miss Catherine has the intention, time is pressing. Let’s begin."
Da Fei gritted his teeth and made up his mind: "Alright, I’ll send Elena along with all the archer troops to escort you, make sure to hold steady."
Catherine said seriously: "With Miss Elena’s powerful spells, I will have more confidence."
Da Fei nodded with trepidation: "Then let’s do it."
Currently, Da Fei could only spare Elena. After all, through the high-tech over-the-horizon battles earlier, she had little opportunity to take action and had been idle. However, in traditional low-tech combat, Elena undoubtedly was like a human cannon killing 1,000 ordinary archers without discussion.
Not to mention, the Jade Dragon has very powerful fire-spitting cannons, even if boarded and overwhelmed, a single shot could resolve it. Da Fei immediately remembered Catherine’s past video of burning the Royal Family, feeling his confidence boost.
Not to mention, those pirate forces looting pearls are probably not very high-end, they should be manageable, right?
With everything dispatched, Da Fei amassed all Angel Sea Demons, Druids, Vine Demons, and other magic troops aboard Flying, and handed over all Jungle Hunters and Secret Archers to Catherine. But it must be noted, even though these archers were all trained by Da Fei’s Gru Professional Skill to have a 50% increase in accuracy as Divine Archers, once they left direct command, they instantly reverted, being merely pseudo-special soldiers, limiting player trade. This was truly a painful spot.
The fleet then slowly departed from the harbor, heading towards the Siren Sea Domain. Meanwhile, as expected, the Thunder Spear patrol team cheerfully escorted Da Fei’s fleet out of the harbor.
Of course, this route was the opposite direction to Da Fei’s intended destination, cursing them in his heart, but sustained the pretense.
Finally, as the fleet exited the Thunder Spear City Sea Domain, the escort patrol finally retreated. Catherine’s fleet officially parted ways with Da Fei’s Flying.
Da Fei let out a long sigh: "Teleport!"
Tamilia: "Received!"
The Flying flashed with Demon Light and disappeared! Then reappeared. Then continued to teleport, vanished! Once again appeared!
After several consecutive teleports, Flying’s 10 Charging Crystal’s mana was finally exhausted. Henceforth, Flying could only navigate conventionally, and the whole crew of Druid Vine Demons and Angel Sea Demon Troops immediately worked to recharge the crystals with mana.
It wasn’t until this moment that Da Fei deeply felt how inadequate the A-grade crystals from Mage City were! A person like me armed with Divine Artifacts, still using an A-grade battery is intolerable! However, now that I’ve received Saisu’s recognition and my reputation in Mage City has increased, I should be able to advocate for and secure higher-end crystal batteries, right?
Alright, this time heading to Japan Zone, I’ve got to ensure getting batteries no matter what! Otherwise, how can I glorify the nation?
...
At this moment, in the China Region united guild chat room, the big shots began discussing the sudden gigantic debt from the so-called "protection fee."
Eternal Star said grumpily, "Honestly, we have no idea what Da Fei did by shipping the alcohol there. What do you guys think about this debt?"
Divine Emperor sighed, "What else can we think? Ordinary players would be lucky not to get killed by NPCs in the Eastern World, let alone do business. Just think of it as Da Fei getting us a safety operating license."
Bloodrose Rosa chuckled, "The main issue now is that the basic facilities on the island aren’t complete. Once a trading post is built, business transactions will go through the system’s accounting, making it much more regulated."
Eternal Star sighed, "We can only wait until the trading post is built. Right, there’s also the shipyard. Isn’t there already a small shipyard on the island? Let’s hurry and expand the shipyard’s scale and research efforts, starting with small ships doing trade runs with nearby small tribes, then quickly developing to medium-sized ships."
Royal Dominator said hastily, "As soon as the shipyard produces medium-sized ships, we’ll immediately deploy all the First Fleet members from our guild to the Lighthouse Islands to take over the ships!"
Bloodrose Rosa chuckled, "Why wait for medium ships? Compared to the rare goods of the Eastern World, your current cargo isn’t worth much."
Royal Dominator laughed heartily, "The lady makes a good point! Alright then, let’s quickly get the shipyard started on building small ships, and we’ll send people to take over immediately!"
Divine Emperor laughed and sighed, "I must say, Da Fei really is capable. There are no other facilities in the Lighthouse Islands, only a shipyard, and the shipyard’s blueprints are quite tough to acquire."
Bloodrose Rosa chuckled, "This shows Da Fei’s worthiness as a master. Even if we got tricked, we must accept it."
Royal Dominator laughed, "I don’t feel tricked at all. I feel like I’m already at the forefront of the world! I’ll go right down and strengthen the confidentiality education of the team!"
...
At 9 AM Beijing Time, a day had passed, and the Flying had crossed half the globe, creating a miracle, actually leaving the Eastern Islands Sea Area and reaching the vast ocean. At this moment, Da Fei was overwhelmed with disbelief! If Flying is so powerful, what’s the point of forming a fleet? Naturally, it’s to let it help me do trade while I’m asleep, ha ha ha!
At this time, Sona held a beast hide Sea Chart and came to Da Fei excitedly, "No wonder even the Dark Tide Lord looks favorably upon you. According to intelligence analysis, the Slave Transport Fleet is just ahead of us. Please prepare for enemy search and combat. Although the enemy’s strength is unknown, Beastmen are not strong seafarers, and without Thunder Spear City Lord’s underwater escort, you don’t need to worry at all."
Da Fei laughed heartily, "Alright, the whole army, hurry to rest and restore mana!"
Then Da Fei summoned the Blood Eagle to scout ahead, and indeed, three massive beast-hide paddle ships in Viking style appeared in the Blood Eagle’s view.
Da Fei’s eyelid twitched in shock! Is this the Beastmen’s giant ship? From a distance, it’s totally like a floating beast-hide tent Beastman village on the sea! The fleet is small, only three ships, but the size of the ships, the length of the paddles, and the rough and mysterious beast-hide sail totems were astonishing to Da Fei!
Beastmen have always dominated the prairie wilds, doing business with huge beast caravans. They were never strong in seafaring, and proper large ships were rarely seen. But the three giant ships Da Fei saw here clearly overturned his perception.
When the Blood Eagle approached, Da Fei was shocked again. A few giant Water Monsters were clearly pulling the ships from under the water!
Whoa! Did the Beastmen incorporate the concept of land cattle vehicles into seafaring, completely overcoming their maritime technological disadvantages and even having a futuristic edge? Which Beastmen group is so awesome?
It was at this moment, the sky suddenly echoed with several eagle calls, and the Blood Eagle screen flashed red:
—System Prompt: Warning! Your Reconnaissance Blood Eagle was discovered by the opponent’s Reconnaissance Flying Eagle and is about to be exposed! Please prepare for battle or retreat!
Pfft! Da Fei spat out a mouthful of saliva! My Flying Eagle that swept through hell unrivaled was discovered so easily by a few Beastman savages? Is this high-tech or primal instinct?
There’s nothing else to say, take action! I’m going to show you what real high-tech is!
Da Fei’s invisible hand immediately activated the Light Tears’ dark domain. In that instant, a black light enveloped the Slave Transport Fleet, and then Deirdel’s Curse Armor activated, with three black beams descending from the sky. Under the domain’s enhancement, the Beastman sailors on the Slave Transport Fleet started losing health en masse!
At the same time, the few Beastman Reconnaissance Eagles that discovered the Blood Eagle couldn’t escape the curse’s speed reduction, so no more words, let the Blood Eagle automatically combat them.
The sudden battle came as a shock to the Slave Transport Fleet, but soon, a Beastman Shaman wearing a wolf head mask appeared to heal and stabilize the situation, and then a Beastman Shaman Hero with Hero Aura under his feet walked out from the flagship’s room!
Da Fei was inwardly startled; it was actually a hero! (To be continued. If you enjoy this work, you are welcome to vote for recommendations and monthly tickets at Qidian.com. Your support is my biggest motivation. Mobile users, please read at m.qidian.com.)
