Chapter 1115: Chapter 721, I will definitely help you
Hearing Dordy’s question,
Rebecca immediately realized that her expression had already been noticed by the other party.
Saying everything was going smoothly would clearly not fool anyone.
Her brain quickly responded, and her expression became serious and solemn.
“Just now, it indeed was news from Haber, and the situation is not very smooth.”
Everyone furrowed their brows.
Dordy pressed further, “What exactly happened? Don’t beat around the bush, just tell us.”
Rebecca nodded and explained, “Just now, the Aerial Ship fleet from Lyss City launched a surprise attack on the port of Giant Claw Island, successfully destroying the port of Giant Claw Island.”
At this point, she picked up a glass of water and gently sipped it.
“This is good news!” Dordy said.
Rebecca put down her glass and continued, “But! The fleet also came under attack from the enemy. Haber has ordered the fleet to begin recuperation, and once the ammunition and supplies are transported over, they will launch a new attack on the central region.”
This…
Dordy and others were somewhat surprised by the news.
The battle to attack Giant Claw Island seemed to have failed, but they still held the advantage and had not completely failed.
After pondering for a moment, Dordy shook his head and said, “We have already lost the best opportunity. The Sea Tribe will have enough time to reinforce Giant Claw Island.”
Going directly through the air to bomb their island seemed more like a raid.
The best moment had passed, and it would be difficult to push in now.
Rebecca shook her head and said, “The enemy’s anti-air facilities are not complete. Haber also expressed confidence in securing victory this time, I think we should give it another try.”
The other accompanying council members all looked toward Dordy.
Ultimately, it would depend on what this Federation Leader would say.
After pondering for a short while, Dordy nodded and said, “Fine, we are in this situation with no way back now, let’s go with your plan!”
Rebecca smiled and nodded, her demeanor still graceful and composed.
Dordy and the others sat in the city for a moment longer.
Then they opened the scroll and returned to Silver Wing City.
Bringing the news back to the council.
Once Dordy and his group completely disappeared,
Rebecca, carrying her skirt, turned and ran toward the room upstairs.
She hurriedly entered the room, picked up the Sound-transmitting Shell, and placed it to her lips.
“Fang Hao, there’s a problem on Haber’s side, do you have any solutions?”
…
Elsewhere.
On the deck of the Giant “Sea City” Ship.
Rabbit women and fox women dressed in black and white maid outfits were lined up on the deck.
“It’s my turn, it’s my turn!” The particularly plump and upright Yuan Yuan, took the necklace from the previous maid, and hung it around her neck.
Then she jumped into the sea.
Upon entering the water, Yuan Yuan’s lower jaw sides immediately grew two gills.
Her body became more agile as she swam underwater.
Chasing fish schools and teasing gigantic turtles.
“What’s happening here?” The Merman Lord stared with his bulbous eyes, curiously asking.
Suddenly, so many people appeared, leaping into the sea in batches.
If he hadn’t discovered it in time and instructed his people not to attack those jumping down,
probably those who went down would have turned into corpses long ago.
“They have never seen the ocean, so they are quite excited,” Fang Hao explained.
The Merman Lord shook his fin, “What’s there to be excited about?”
“Well, it’s a kind of reverence for the sea. Seeing it suddenly, they got quite excited.”
“Hmm, they indeed are the descendants of the Sea God, having special feelings towards the sea,” the Merman nodded with satisfaction.
Well, …
Alright!
Fang Hao grinned, saying nothing.
“Do you want me to arrange for someone to show them around underwater?” the Merman Lord continued.
He was quite fond of these humans with large ears and fluffy tails.
“No need, let them play around here, it’s not safe to go too far,” Fang Hao shook his head.
“Alright then, I’ll be going back. If there’s a cargo trade or anything, blow the Shell, and someone will come to meet you,” the Merman Lord said as he walked toward the edge.
“Okay, I’ll remember that.”
The Merman Lord nodded, directly leaping into the sea, swimming downward.
Nearby,
Yuan Yuan emerged from underwater, Anjia pulled her ashore, like a lifeguard, handing over the “Sea God Necklace” to the next one.
Not forgetting to admonish, “Don’t swim too far, or we might not be able to find you if you get lost.”
The maid with the necklace nodded several times, then dived straight into the sea, swimming underwater.
Watching the maids laughing and playing, Fang Hao also felt quite happy.
It was like taking kids to the amusement park.
At that moment,
The Book of Lords signaled a notification, it was the sound of the Sound-transmitting Shell.
He found a quiet place, put the Shell to his ear.
Immediately, Rebecca’s voice came through.
“When you have time, come over, there’s a problem on Haber’s side. Do you have any solutions?”
Hmm?
Something happened on Haber’s side?
“Okay, I’ll come over soon,” Fang Hao said.
“Yes!” Rebecca replied.
He put away the Sound-transmitting Shell.
Fang Hao clapped his hands at the maids, “Alright, we are heading back to the main city now, we’ll come back to play tomorrow.”
The maids, upon hearing this, seemed a bit unhappy.
Pouting, they returned through the Gate of the Worlds.
…
In the study of Lyss City,
“What news do you have?” Rebecca asked sternly.
Fang Hao opened the Book of Lords and found the information Bai Xuan had sent.
He explained, “The transmigrator reported that the fleet was attacked by two types of creatures, one being the third-tier Swallowtail Ray, a fish capable of soaring from the sea into the sky, and the other being the fifth-tier Sea Eagle, which primarily inflicted the damage on the fleet.”
Saying this, he flipped through the images of both species for Rebecca to see.
Before coming here, he had contacted Bai Xuan to inquire about the situation.
According to Bai Xuan, the fleet’s casualties were not insignificant.
Three Aerial Ships were lost, and the fate of the transmigrators and soldiers on board was unknown.
Even though they were over the sea and the transmigrators were equipped with parachutes, most likely they wouldn’t have survived.
She was also retreating at the time and did not inform Fang Hao immediately.
“I didn’t hear that the Sea Tribe had the capability to command Sea Eagles,” Rebecca regretted aloud.
It had never occurred to her that the Sea Tribe would have aerial troops.
She figured they would, at most, purchase some anti-aircraft devices from the Dwarves and was unprepared to counter from the air.
“Don’t worry too much, these things can’t be rushed,” Fang Hao consoled.
Rebecca sat down beside him, then said, “With the current state of the Aerial Ships, any further attack would be suicidal. Do you have any ideas?”
“How would you define success?” Fang Hao continued to ask.
This move from Lyss City could make him a hero of the Federation if it succeeded, solidifying his position.
But if it failed, he’d be the culprit for sparking a war between two nations.
Especially since Rebecca’s reputation was already quite controversial in the council.
Thus, for Rebecca, failure was not an option.
“To occupy Giant Claw Island…” Rebecca said, her gaze fixed on him.
“What happens after we take it? That area belongs to the Sea Tribe’s archipelago; we couldn’t hold it even if we took it,” Fang Hao continued.
“If it gets taken back, it doesn’t matter, as long as both the Sea Tribe and the Federation know that we have the capability to attack the Sea Tribe at any time,” Rebecca seriously stated.
Fang Hao thought for a moment, analyzing the potential risks he might face.
If it had been before,
without a huge ship, it would have indeed been difficult for him to attack Giant Claw Island.
At most, he could have let the Bone Dragon fly a long distance to harass it once.
But now with the huge ship, he had a base of operations close by that met the conditions for an attack.
As long as he didn’t expose his identity or catch the attention of the Dragon Clan, the impact on himself would be minimal.
“Alright, leave this matter to me!” Fang Hao said with a slight smile.
Rebecca’s expression brightened, and she stepped forward to hold his face and kissed him hard, “I knew you’d help me.”
Fang Hao smiled, wrapped his arms around her waist, and replied, “I’m your man, of course I’ll help you.”
Rebecca squirmed and hugged his neck, “Should I have Haber pull back then?”
Fang Hao thought for a moment and said, “Let them hide and rest for a few days in their current location. Once I’ve made arrangements, they can come over.”
“Okay, thank you.”
“You’re welcome.”
…
After returning from Lyss City,
It was just past four in the afternoon.
The maids continued training at the training grounds, and the entire lord’s estate area was deserted.
Fang Hao thought for a moment and directly went upstairs.
In front of the room, he knocked lightly on the door!
Knock, knock!
“Come in!”
He pushed open the door and saw a black lacquered coffin slightly open at one end.
An eye was staring at him through the slit.
“Is there something?” Rolana asked from inside the coffin.
Fang Hao closed the room door and sat down on a soft chair nearby, “Haven’t seen you for a few days, missed you a bit!”
Avoiding sunlight and deep sleep were traits of the Blood Clan.
Rolana was relatively lively and didn’t sleep much.
Typically, members of the Blood Clan could sleep for decades or even longer.
The coffin lid opened, and Rolana sat up, wearing a purple lace nightgown.
A ‘Rolana Talisman’ pendant hung delicately around her pale, delicate neck, draping over her beautiful collarbones and down to her chest.
“Is there trouble in the city? Or did the Dragon Clan find you?” Rolana stretched her neck and asked casually.
“What are you talking about? I just missed you and came to see you.”
“Tired of rabbits and foxes? Want to try something different?” Rolana’s expressionless, cold face did not change.
Fang Hao was momentarily at a loss for words and didn’t know how to respond.
He simply stood up, grabbed her hand, and pulled her out of the coffin to sit beside him.
Changing the subject, he said, “Guess what we found?”
“What?”
“A ship as large as a small city,” Fang Hao gestured broadly with both hands, describing the enormity of the ship.
As he did so, his hands accidentally rested on her shoulders.
“What’s that good for? You don’t have any seas here,” Rolana continued to inquire.
“Think of it as our second city. For instance, we could go there to bask in the moonlight by the sea, fish, vacation, or even seek refuge and continue to thrive there if there’s any danger in this city,” Fang Hao explained.
Rolana seemed uninterested, but she nodded anyway, “Hmm, that sounds pretty good.”
Feeling that the conversation was wrapping up,
Fang Hao went on, “These next few days, I need to help Rebecca attack Giant Claw Island, so I’ll need you to oversee the main city for a while.”
