Chapter 1084: Chapter 691, God’s Scale
Clang, clang, clang!!
The sound of weapons colliding filled the space.
The head-on battle was even more brutal than imagined.
The Ancient Blood God Servant continuously swung his battle axe, cleaving scores of the undead in two, scattering their bones across the ground.
In addition to his slashing, the Ancient Blood God Servant also unleashed powerful water elemental magic.
Columns of water continuously fell from above.
Water dragons, like violent whirlwinds, rampaged around, sucking in skeleton soldiers and tearing them to shreds.
The strength displayed by the Ancient Blood God Servant was still somewhat surprising to Fang Hao.
Luckily, this all took place within a confined area.
Otherwise, set loose in a vast expanse of lakes and seas, Fang Hao feared that no matter how many troops he had, they would stand no chance against him.
“Skeleton Giant Bats, attack its head.”
“Skeleton Archers, shoot at its upper body.”
Fang Hao, squeezed in the rear of his ranks, issued orders loudly.
At this moment, the entire area was filled with skeleton soldiers; those at the back just stood silently.
Waiting for those in the front to fall before rushing forth to continue the attack.
Whoosh!
Crack, crack, crack!!
Upon the command, swarms of Skeleton Giant Bats charged at the massive ‘Ancient Blood God Servant’.
Due to the overhead inverted lake, there was a significant height restriction.
The Skeleton Giant Bats could only charge head-on at the giant.
The Ancient Blood God Servant, seeing the densely packed bats approaching, immediately stretched out his webbed left hand, directing it towards the swarming bats.
In an instant, another column of water surged out, shooting into the midst of the bats.
Splash!
The bats that were hit turned into bones and fell from the sky.
More bats, however, dodged the water column’s attack and flew to the top of its head, starting to tear at the rotten flesh there.
From the back!
The bullets of the Skeleton Archers, amid the sound of gunfire, densely entered the body of the ‘Ancient Blood God Servant’.
But at this moment, the servant was apparently in a near-undead state.
The bullets entered his flesh but elicited no signs of pain.
…
Crackle and pop!!
The battle in front was still horrendous.
Torrential Arrows, water columns, water vortexes.
Various forms of water elemental magic converged above and below.
Killing the onrushing undead skeletons.
And the dense skeleton warriors, leveraging their numerical advantage,
Congregated at the feet of the ‘God Servant,’ continuously chopping at his body with their weapons.
More skeletons even directly climbed up the ‘Ancient Blood God Servant’s’ legs.
Clinging to the thigh and waist areas, they grasped their iron swords, stabbing relentlessly.
The bats perched on the ‘God Servant’s’ head also thoroughly enclosed his head.
From afar,
The colossal body was already laden with skeletons.
The Ancient Blood God Servant, ceaselessly tore at the bats on his head with one hand, while the other hand wildly swung his battle axe.
Swinging wildly as if mad.
“Crack!”
Suddenly, a snapping sound echoed.
One of the Ancient Blood God Servant’s legs snapped under the relentless chopping of the undead army.
His body also lost balance and toppled to one side.
Boom!!
A massive roar resounded as the God Servant fell to the ground, causing another violent tremor in the space.
“Quick, kill him, don’t let him get up,” Fang Hao immediately shouted.
The surrounding undead instantly pounced, covering the fallen body in the blink of an eye.
Continuously stabbing.
The Ancient Blood God Servant still struggled ceaselessly, his arms flailing wildly, sending swaths of undead flying.
But even more skeletons continued to cover him.
Blood gushed like a fountain, splashing over all the skeletons around.
Fang Hao’s controlled Demon Doll, though devoid of smell, visualized the sticky dark red blood, even imagining its rotten, fishy stench.
“No! You lowly souls dare defile the abode of the gods.”
“You will be punished by the gods, your souls tormented for all eternity…”
Amid the furious roars,
The towering Ancient Blood God Servant was decapitated.
A massive head rolled to the side, crushing rows of skeleton warriors.
The skeleton warriors then hacked away for a while.
Before simultaneously stopping their actions and standing at attention.
…
Dead?
Fang Hao looked ahead.
The originally muddy ground was now covered with a layer of white bones.
These were the skeleton soldiers who had perished in battle.
Likely numbering in the tens of thousands.
Helpless, this Dark Gold Hero, proficient in both melee and ranged combat,
And positioned in this lakebed area abundant with water elements, had a massive advantage in unleashing water magic.
Pushing aside the skeletons in front,
He gazed at the now-dead ‘Ancient Blood God Servant’.
Even as a Dark Gold Hero, its body’s toughness could not withstand the relentless slashing of this human-wave tactic.
Its current state of death was somewhat too gruesome to behold.
Not to mention blood and flesh, but its legs, arms, and even neck had been chopped off, desecrating his entire body.
After confirming his actual death,
Fang Hao also breathed a sigh of relief; it was finally over.
At the same time, he felt a bit of joy.
Because unlike the Rotten Corpse, which quickly decayed and disappeared after death,
This body was preserved.
Thus, taking it back would earn him another Dark Gold Hero.
Splash…!
While Fang Hao was overwhelmed with joy,
a tremendous sound erupted from above his head.
He turned around abruptly and saw a massive crack forming in the inverted lake above, resembling broken glass.
Dark red water cascaded down like a waterfall.
Fang Hao was shocked, realizing this place was about to collapse.
“Quick, clean up the battlefield, and take this corpse out, follow me,” Fang Hao shouted loudly.
There was still some time to quickly search for any treasures.
Swoosh!
Upon hearing the command, all the Skeletons sprung into action again.
A group of Skeletons began to carry the corpse of the “Ancient Blood God Servant” out, while more Skeletons started picking up weapons and armor from the pile.
Fang Hao, along with a few Skeleton Warriors,
hurriedly stepped onto the stone steps and rushed toward the dilapidated temple.
They made their way into the temple.
No further dangers emerged, nor did any enemies appear.
The main hall was empty, somewhat resembling the temple where they had encountered the “Lord of Thunder.”
The ceiling and walls were adorned with nightstone chandeliers and wall lamps.
The stone pillars and walls were carved with images of the Sea Tribe and various races worshipping deities.
At the center of the hall was a divine platform.
On the platform, there was a statue resembling a fishman.
The statue’s body was cracked, and one of its arms had fallen off to the side.
After inspecting all the items in front of the statue without finding any attributes,
“Quick, move everything that can be taken from here, and do it fast,” Fang Hao urged loudly.
The Skeletons immediately went to work, taking down the chandeliers and nightstones.
Fang Hao, unable to hesitate any longer, stepped onto the platform and started feeling the statue,
to see if there were any treasures left by the “God of Fishmen.”
When his hand reached the lower back of the statue, he suddenly felt something odd.
He immediately went to the back and saw a palm-sized scale, half embedded in the statue.
Fang Hao forcefully pulled out the scale.
[God’s Scale (Orange)]
[Category: Item]
[Effect: Rich with Water Elemental.]
[Rich with Water Elemental: Loaded with intense water elemental energy, practice of water elemental magic in the covered area +75%.]
(Description: A scale left by ancient deities, unpredictable effects when placed.)
A single scale, capable of enhancing the study and practice of Water Elemental Magic.
The effects were quite good.
He quickly pocketed it and continued to feel around the statue a few more times.
Still, he found nothing.
Fang Hao exerted some force, and the statue instantly toppled backward, crashing down with a loud noise,
but still, no treasures were found inside.
He swiftly called the Skeletons to move the gold and silver artifacts from the divine platform as well.
Then he led all the Skeletons as they ran outside.
The inverted lake had already cracked open in three or four places.
The water poured down in torrents.
The dark red blood water had already reached their shins.
“No need to search for equipment anymore, everyone out, hurry!” Fang Hao continued to command.
The Skeletons, still searching and picking up fallen equipment, all straightened up.
They rushed toward the outside through the water curtain.
When all the Undead had exited,
Crack! Whoosh!
The lake above completely shattered.
The surging lake water fell from the sky.
…
Boom!
Holding the “God’s Scale” and a “Fingerbone Magic Wand,” Fang Hao had just walked out of the lake water.
He felt unstable under his feet, and the ground trembled.
A calm lake suddenly rose in several-meter-high waves,
slamming toward the shore.
It knocked all the Undead off their feet, and the neatly arranged loot was swept back into the lake.
Fortunately, the giant wave appeared only once.
It gradually returned to calm.
The Skeletons began to salvage the items again.
…
Soon, the loot was reorganized.
Apart from various gold and silver objects and several nightstones,
a white gold treasure chest was also placed in the center.
Li Rong’s eyes widened a bit at the sight of the white gold treasure chest,
seemingly already guessing what wonderful items would be inside.
Regarding the treasure chest, Anjia, Beiyehu, and a few others focused their attention on the corpse that was as large as a small mountain.
“What is this?” Anjia asked.
“It’s the Dark Gold fishman I mentioned,” Fang Hao answered while directing Skeletons.
The others widened their eyes when they heard this.
“You call this a fishman?” Li Rong also approached and exclaimed.
“It doesn’t look like a fishman,” Anjia agreed.
“The head over there looks just like a fishman’s head; if this isn’t a fishman then what is it?” Fang Hao pointed at a nearby skull.
Indeed, it was a fishman’s head.
Anjia looked toward the Snake Woman ‘Beiyehu,’ “Have you seen such fishmen?”
Beiyehu shook her head, “No, I haven’t seen any. The fishmen I know are the normal-sized ones seen before.”
She, a member of the Sea Tribe, had never seen such a creature.
Yet you still say it’s a fishman.
Fang Hao waved his hand and said, “What’s so strange about that? There are small fish and whales in a school of fish. Does it stop being a fish because it’s bigger?”
“My God, you make a good point,” Li Rong said.
Afterward, the group didn’t linger any longer.
They opened the Gate of the Worlds, directing the Skeletons to move all the items inside.
Then, they returned to the main city with the others.
