Chapter 1082: Chapter 690: Ancient Blood God Servant (Still couldn’t hold back, just one update for today.)
“How’s the situation down there? Did you find the entrance?”
Seeing Fang Hao sitting silently aside, Li Rong asked somewhat anxiously.
They had cleared two waves of enemies.
Though they had found two gold treasure chests, the true purpose of their trip was to find the temple recorded on the map.
Everyone was busy till now and no one wanted to return empty-handed.
“Should we call over a few Iron Claw Rats?” Anjia softly suggested on the side.
At that moment, Fang Hao looked at Li Rong and said, “I found a clue, hand that ‘Bone Magic Wand’ over to ‘Beiyehu.'”
As soon as he had spoken, a sound of swishing was heard, and the Snake Woman ‘Beiyehu’ emerged from beneath the lake.
Her gaze turned towards them.
Li Rong handed the magic wand directly to her.
After the Snake Woman left.
Li Rong approached Anjia and whispered, “Is this a newly recruited hero? What race is she?”
…
Below the lake.
Fang Hao took another look at the stone door in front.
He gestured for Beiyehu to move back a bit.
Then, Fang Hao directly inserted the bone into the hole in the stone door.
When the last segment had completely entered,
it fit precisely and seamlessly.
Following that, there was a crisp ‘click!’
The stone door revealed a connected array along a peculiar line.
Accompanied by a slight rumble, the giant stone door blocking their path suddenly swung open.
Below the lake, it stirred up large waves.
“It really is a key made from a finger.”
Besides the joy of solving the puzzle, the ingenious ideas of the Fishmen Temple also surprised them.
Who would have thought to use someone’s bones as a key to open a door?
…
The currents created a whirlpool that tossed the two several meters.
Stabilizing their position, they looked back at the stone door,
and were shocked once more.
They saw that behind the stone door, there wasn’t a passageway leading to the next area,
but rather, a layer of glowing, colorful ‘water curtain’ that isolated the stone door.
It looked like the bubbles from childhood, transparent and vibrant,
separating the lake water and the area behind the stone door into two separate worlds.
Through the water curtain, the inside was visible.
The ground was covered with white fine sand, and various sizes of white pebbles were scattered across the sand.
The deep blue lake water floated in the air, and waterfalls streaming down poured gently along the white sandy beach.
And behind all the scenery stood a huge, magnificent temple.
Fang Hao looked in astonishment at everything displayed behind the water curtain,
struggling to believe it for a moment.
He had never imagined that the temple he sought would be presented in such a manner.
“My lord, what should we do next?” Beiyehu, in her surprise, came over and asked.
Fang Hao thought for a moment before saying, “Bring over some Skeleton troops, I’ll go in and check the situation.”
“Alright, my lord.”
Soon, a mass of Skeleton troops followed Beiyehu down.
They densely packed the area underwater.
Fang Hao controlled the Deomn Doll and extended his right hand to gently touch the water curtain.
Without any resistance, it was as if he was putting his hand into water, causing ripples but directly going through.
He waited silently for a few seconds before withdrawing his hand.
His arm was still intact and seemed to bear no danger.
He then used several other methods to inspect the inside, which still showed no danger.
After briefly instructing Beiyehu, he directly walked into the ‘water curtain.’
His vision blurred for a moment, and when it cleared, he had already entered behind the water curtain.
Originally, he was still pleased that the ‘water curtain’ couldn’t block the effects of God’s Presence.
However, once inside, the scene in front of him made his Soul Fire tremble slightly.
The previously clean and beautiful scene was no more.
In its place was a land full of decay and filth.
The fine sand had turned into sticky, rotten mud, the lake water above his head floated with dead, decaying bodies, and dark red sticky water flowed down the waterfall.
And the temple in the distance, although still huge and impressive, didn’t shine as brilliantly as it did from the outside.
It was dilapidated and desolate.
Eerily chilling.
“What’s going on? Is there also auto-retouching here? It looks different from the outside,” Fang Hao said, looking up at the inverted water surface.
Just then, a decayed, bony giant turtle corpse drifted by with the water.
The scene outside had seemed so beautiful, but now it was utterly unbearable.
The cover of heaven, merely a promotional poster for hell.
He didn’t immediately let all the troops come in.
Instead, he observed the surroundings and saw no enemies appear.
Then he cautiously continued toward the now dilapidated temple.
If the fish people in the lake were the temple’s guardians,
then having cleared the enemies, the next step should be to receive the rewards.
But it was still better to be careful.
Treading on the rotten muck, he carefully moved forward.
He walked up to the front of the temple without encountering any enemies.
Just as he was about to continue and step onto the temple’s stone stairs,
suddenly, a huge shadow expanded under his feet.
Fang Hao abruptly looked up.
He saw a massive body, as big as a small hill, falling from the lake above his head.
His heart tightened.
He controlled the Deomn Doll and quickly leaped toward the back.
Boom!
A loud roar shook the entire space non-stop.
He rolled over and stood up, then turned back to look.
He saw a giant Fish-headed Giant, already standing in front of the temple door.
The giant’s body, clad in tattered armor.
