Chapter 1078: Chapter 686, Flesh Pile Troll
Li Rong and Morse, wide-eyed, watched the scene before them in disbelief.
This was the first time they had seen Fang Hao use such an ability.
It seemed he had linked with some kind of space, able to transport troops from the other end without the constraints of distance.
This ability was simply terrifying.
Fang Hao himself possessed a Teleportation Skill, enabling him to instantly travel to any place.
Combined with this skill…
It was unimaginable.
Whoever offended him could find himself facing an army of millions atop his kang bed the very next second.
Such power was too fearsome.
As the two mulled over this in their minds,
the Gate of the Worlds had already disappeared.
In the dense jungle ahead, the Skeleton Warriors formed tight ranks.
At a glance, there appeared to be twenty or thirty thousand of them, all Skeleton Warriors.
“Advance!”
Fang Hao ordered loudly.
CLANG CLANG CLANG!
The sound of armor colliding rang out once more as the Undead army marched in neat steps, entering the dense jungle.
As they marched on, the noise of the troops soon drew the attention of the Trolls in the forest.
The sound of running and breaking through the trees arose from all around.
Dozens of ugly ‘Foul Trolls’ leaped out from the bushes.
Howling to the sky, they were bloodthirsty and ferocious.
But in the next second, their excited expressions became stuck.
Uh… why are there so many skeletons? There seem to be quite a few.
Before they could register the sight, Fang Hao had already given the order.
“Kill them.”
At his command, the Skeleton Warriors raised their weapons and charged wildly.
The Trolls released furious roars,
swinging their enormous wooden clubs, aiming at the approaching Skeleton ranks.
BANG BANG BANG!
With each hit, three or four skeletons were sent flying.
But more skeletons kept swarming in, raising their weapons and chopping at the Trolls.
The rank of Skeleton Warriors wasn’t high,
but their equipment was far from shabby.
Even the core forces of various groups had only such equipment.
Most of the time, skeletons were knocked away,
suffering deformities in their armor, broken arm bones.
They would stagger to their feet, pick up their own bones, and continue the charge.
“Why only use this kind? I see you have higher-level Skeleton soldiers,” Li Rong asked curiously.
She felt Fang Hao particularly liked to use these Skeleton Warriors.
In the few battles she had seen, aside from Skeleton Warriors, there were Skeleton Archers.
Either that or a combination of warriors and archers.
She rarely saw usage of other, higher-ranking troops.
“The recruitment requirements for these are low, and most importantly, I don’t feel pain when they die,” Fang Hao explained on the side.
Moreover, Skeleton Warriors were not weak.
Once equipped with ‘Thunderbolt Strike’ Viscera Jars, they could unleash damage output and mass attack tactics.
“Fine, as long as you like it…,” she conceded.
As they were talking,
the Trolls, having taken heavy losses, began to flee.
Stumbling with heavy steps, they ran towards the rear, their bodies clanking with hanging skeletons.
But the escape was clearly futile, the terrain unsuitable for their massive bodies.
Having not run far, they were overwhelmed by skeletons again.
BANG BANG BANG!
The ‘Foul Trolls,’ once dead, exploded like balloons.
Visible toxic particles scattered through the air,
forming clouds of green poison gas.
Fortunately, the poison gas only lingered near the corpses and showed no signs of spreading.
“This is the toxicity I mentioned; many of my soldiers were poisoned to death,” Li Rong continued.
Although they were at a safe distance, she still instinctively took two steps back.
“Right, let’s keep our distance.”
This poison gas affected living creatures, but had no effect on the Undead.
After killing them, the Skeleton Warriors stood in place, awaiting orders.
Waiting for the toxic gas to disperse.
“Regroup!” Fang Hao ordered again.
The skeletons reformed their ranks.
Fang Hao then collected the equipment and weapons of the fallen skeletons.
As for the dozens of Troll corpses, he decided not to take them back for conversion.
They were difficult to carry, and he feared that bringing back toxic bodies could be dangerous.
Skeletons weren’t affected, but many living creatures still resided in the main city.
Besides, his domain was not in need of Skeleton troops, and the loss of these Trolls had no impact.
After checking the target location again, he ordered the troops to move forward.
…
After five or six minutes of marching,
they came upon an abandoned Troll gathering place.
A few crude huts, with a huge iron pot in the center, stewing something unidentifiable.
Fang Hao stirred it.
The contents had turned into a mushy mass, with bits of meat and bone, and on a second scoop, he dredged up a sizable fish head.
It was quite discomforting.
He tossed it back into the pot.
The four of them continued to search the area but found no treasure chest.
From the huts, they found a green ‘Iron Nail Club’ Blueprint and a large number of white steel tridents.
Fang Hao collected them all.
Metal items could be recycled in the furnace for future use.
With no further spoils,
the army then resumed its journey, pressing deeper into the forest.
Along the way, they encountered several groups of Trolls; the deeper they went, the more numerous the Trolls became.
No wonder Li Rong hadn’t ventured in; with her forces, it really would have been difficult to conquer this place.
Even the armies of the indigenous people, when they went to battle the Trolls in the dense forests, mostly never returned.
The great army continued to march.
Roar!!
Suddenly, a deafening roar came from ahead.
Countless Trolls, bursting from the mountain forests, blocked the path of the Undead army.
There were at least a thousand of them, and they did not immediately launch an attack but instead stared at the Skeleton troops with wide eyes.
And behind the Trolls.
Four large Trolls carried a huge wooden litter on their shoulders, with an obese Troll sitting on top of it.
The obese fat squeezed out through the gaps in the robe, and in his hand, he held a scepter.
On his head, covered with pustules, a golden crown was tightened around like a hoop.
It looked like a mass of fat was being carried.
The ‘pile of flesh’ Troll, after eyeing the Undead in front for a few moments, squished his facial features in the gaps of his fat, making a terrifying sight.
In a sharp and angry voice, he said, “Damn it, just a bunch of Undead, these bones have no nutrition at all.”
“No, not right, I’ll use these bones to boil a soup, hehe…, boil a soup!”
It was not the language of the Trolls, but the system translated it nonetheless.
Moreover, it seemed that the Trolls here were not very clever.
How to put it, the Trolls of the Bloody Mountains still knew how to develop and compete for power.
But this ‘loathsome Troll’ leader was all about whether something tasted good or not.
[Gluttonous Titan – Basbahhan (Orange Tier Three)].
Let the Thunder Spirit fly to the front of the troops.
When he saw the name and attributes of the opponent, he immediately restrained his mocking expression.
This pile of flesh was actually an Orange Hero.
My apologies, my apologies.
“What is that thing?” Li Rong stepped closer and asked softly.
She was even more excessive, actually using the word ‘pile.’
The distance was far, but wearing the crown, one could still differentiate him from the common Trolls.
“An Orange Hero, pretty awesome.”
“That guy?”
“Stop talking, they are about to attack.”
Fang Hao immediately said.
The crown-wearing ‘pile of flesh,’ after muttering to himself for a while, noticed that the Undead across did not pay attention to him.
An angry and ferocious killing intent appeared on his pustule-ridden and fatty face.
His high-pitched voice roared, “Kill them, we’ll stew bone soup tonight.”
Roar——!
Roar, roar!
The loathsome Trolls let out a series of angry roars, wielding their wooden mallets, and charged toward the troops ahead.
Thud thud thud!!
The heavy footsteps made the whole forest tremble.
Fang Hao looked at the approaching Trolls and showed no sign of nervousness.
“Lightning strike, ready——!”
Swoosh swoosh swoosh!!
Sheathing his iron sword, the Skeleton Warriors raised their right arms above their heads, and in their open palms appeared spears flashing with lightning bolts.
“In front, the area where the Trolls are, fire——!”
Whoosh!!
The whooshing of cutting wind arose.
The Thunderbolts flew through the sky, crashing into the ranks of the Trolls.
In an instant, a vast number of Trolls fell to the ground, sustaining significant injuries.
“Attack, kill them,” Fang Hao ordered again.
The Skeleton Warriors drew their longswords from their sides and charged towards the Trolls ahead.
In a flash, they were engulfed in battle.
The bloodthirsty and brutal Trolls, once in battle mode, became as fierce as if they were injected with chicken’s blood.
The Undead, fearing no death, slashed and bit, utilizing any means to press their attacks.
Bang bang!
Skeletons flew everywhere under the swing of the massive wooden mallets.
Likewise, some Trolls were overwhelmed by Skeletons.
Dying in the chaos of blades and tearing.
Continuously, ‘loathsome Trolls’ exploded upon death, and poisonous gas permeated the surrounding air.
The crown-wearing ‘pile of flesh,’ seeing this scene, showed even deeper anger on his face.
“I will kill you all.”
His angry roar resounded once more, and with his scepter, he pointed towards the crowd of Skeletons in the distance.
At that moment when Fang Hao and the others were unsure of what he was going to do.
Whoo——Boom!
Where the scepter pointed, the Magic bullets the size of human heads rapidly converged.
They shot towards the dense area of Skeleton Warriors.
Boom boom boom!!
In an instant, a large number of Undead were blasted to pieces.
Even some ‘loathsome Trolls’ were affected and were blown to bits.
Fang Hao was startled by the scene before him.
He quickly pulled his comrades aside.
“Is that a Mage?” Li Rong also widened her eyes.
“More like a cannon…”
This flesh heap was not very mobile, but his skills were powerful, which was just like a cannon!
“What now? Can we still fight?” Li Rong continued to ask.
Fang Hao nodded, “We can!”
Then, Gate of the Worlds opened again, and more Skeleton Warriors and Skeleton Giant Bats poured out.
“Skeleton Warriors, join the battlefield, eliminate all Trolls, Skeleton Giant Bats go attack that Troll Hero,” Fang Hao immediately ordered.
Crash crash crash!!
Upon receiving the order, the Skeletons immediately sprang into action.
Once again, they surged into the Troll ranks.
From the rear, so many Undead suddenly attacked, causing the Troll ‘pile of flesh’ to be momentarily stunned.
Several more Magic bullets flew out.
But suddenly he found that the sky above had darkened.
Clumsily he lifted his head to look at the sky, and his face changed instantly.
His arm, thick as a tire, tapped on the wooden boards underneath, “Quickly go, there are enemies above, quickly.”
The Trolls carrying the boards tried to leave.
They were swiftly enveloped by swarms of giant bats.
The ‘pile of flesh’ let out pained howls, randomly releasing magic in all directions.
