Chapter 1065: Chapter 673, Group of Bone Dragons
The main city lay enveloped in darkness.
All the nightstones on the street lamps had been removed, and even the “moon flower grass” planted by the deer was covered with cloaks one by one.
The entire city had fallen into dimness.
It seemed like a ghost town.
Fang Hao stood in front of the lord’s mansion.
From afar, he saw the leading silver dragon.
It shimmered under the moonlight like a beautiful white jade stone.
It was indeed her.
The Silver Dragon, Beata!
Even in dragon form, the appearance of the Silver Dragon was even more dazzling and magnificent.
“The Dragon Clan has deployed a substantial number of troops; there are at least a hundred giant dragons, with even more smaller dragon-type creatures behind them,” Rolana approached and whispered.
The senses of the Blood Clan were significantly enhanced at night, making everything seen farther and clearer.
Seeing so many giant dragons flying towards them, there still was some worry in the heart.
Nobody expected the Dragon Clan to be so determined to kill Fang Hao.
“It’s okay, I’ve been preparing for this for so long, waiting for them,” Fang Hao was also slightly nervous about the imminent battle, but still somewhat confident.
He had prepared so thoroughly and knew in advance of their arrival.
The possibility of failure was not large.
The advantage was with him.
Rolana looked at him and said, “I’ll protect you nearby, and if there’s danger, I’ll take you away first.”
Fang Hao didn’t think he would lose, and even if there were problems, he had ample time to take everyone away.
But he didn’t want to say much at the moment, just nodded his head.
While they were talking, the Dragon Clan continued to approach quickly.
The figures of more flying creatures appeared within sight.
Pseudo-Dragon guards, and pterodactyl riders wielding long spears.
No wonder Rolana said the Dragon Clan had a lot of troops.
Scattered about, the number was indeed substantial.
Huh!!
The sound of landing was heard.
The Harpy ‘Zulayka’ alighted nearby.
She opened her mouth and said, “Sir, the Dragon Clan has entered the shooting range in full force.”
Fang Hao nodded, and once more looked at the distant Dragon Clan.
He said in a deep voice, “Beat the drums!”
The messenger quickly departed.
Boom, boom, boom!!
A low, rhythmic beating of the drums began not far away.
Then, within and outside the city, the drum sounds continued to rise.
The beats gradually unified, reverberating through the night sky.
The Dragon Clan members flying overhead, hearing the sudden drumming below, were also stunned.
What’s going on?
Discovering the enemy’s approach, it should be the ringing of the alarm bell.
Why are they even raising the beat for an attack!
But, before they could clear up the reason,
Pop Pop Pop!!
The dense sounds rang out, orange bullets streaked across from all around.
…
One by one, the mats were lifted.
Exposing underneath, a dense crowd of Skeleton soldiers.
Holding strangly-shaped muskets, the muzzles were already pointed at the sky.
The crackling sounds rose from below.
The dense bullets, like a giant orange net enveloping from above, trapped all kinds of Dragon Clan troops within.
There was no way to dodge, nor any place to hide.
Pup pup pup!!
The sound of bullets entering flesh, the painful screams of the Dragon Clan troops followed one after another.
In just a moment, a considerable number of Winged Dragon riders and Pseudo-Dragon guards began to lose balance, plummeting downward.
Directly crashing into the midst of the Undead, they were overwhelmed by the surrounding Skeletons.
Surprise also filled Beata’s eyes.
Nobody expected the enemy to possess so many Undead and advanced firearms.
They hadn’t anticipated that the enemy would know of their arrival in advance and had prepared accordingly.
“Split some off to clear the Skeletons below,” the dragon mouth moved as it commanded.
The giant dragons behind nodded in response.
Immediately, a portion of the giant dragons, along with the Winged Dragon riders and the Pseudo-Dragons, stopped rushing inwards. Instead, they dove downwards, beginning to approach the swarms of Undead below.
Roar!!
Successive dragon roars resounded.
Flame breath, with its terrifying power, swept through the ranks of the Undead.
Great flames ravaged the area below.
Innumerable Undead turned to ash within the flames.
The Pseudo-Dragons and Winged Dragon riders also began to plunge into the ranks of the Undead.
Grabbing Skeletons one by one, they carried them into the sky to tear them into pieces.
For a moment.
The entire area glowed with fire.
Bones rained down from the sky.
Yet, regardless of the ferocity of the Dragon Clan’s assault,
there was no impact or panic among the Undead.
Crackling!!
The bullets continued to pour down, continuously causing Dragon Clan members to fall from the sky because of body damage.
They were instantly overwhelmed by the surrounding Undead.
The two sides seemed to have entered a war of attrition.
Continuously incurring losses, depleting each other’s forces.
…
“Why not let the Bone Dragons go out? If we keep fighting like this, we’ll lose a lot of troops,” Rolana looked at the battle outside the city and asked.
The bolt-action rifles indeed worked well.
The number of Undead also held a great advantage.
In the initial moment, they obliterated swathes of Pseudo-Dragons and Winged Dragons.
But these bullets, only capable of level three damage, did limited harm to the giant dragons.
The bullets hitting the scales caused damage but it was not fatal.
Amidst the dragon’s breath, the Undead died in masses, but the giant dragons’ losses were not significant.
So, Rolana asked, “Why not send out the Bone Dragon? At least it might entangle with the giant dragon for a while.”
Fang Hao shook his head and replied, “Sending out the Bone Dragon now might scare them off, therefore exposing our trump card without retaining the enemies. That would be a loss. Let them come deeper into our territory.”
The Dragon Clan’s bodies were strong and agile.
Now, if the Bone Dragon went out, once the Dragon Clan felt they couldn’t win.
They would brave the bullets and turn to flee.
Then our trump card would be exposed, and the dragons would have escaped. That would truly be a loss.
Losing some ordinary Skeletons outside the city walls wasn’t really a big deal.
As long as we could retain these dragons, that would more than compensate for the loss of ordinary Undead.
During the conversation.
The Silver Dragon, leading the dragons behind it, had already approached the city walls.
Above the city wall, the Dragon-locking Crossbows and air-defense crossbows began firing bolts.
This type of crossbow
possessed enough power to penetrate the dragons.
The swarm of dragons instantly scattered, dodging the swiftly flying bolts.
The giants dragons scattered again.
Streams of Dragon Breath swept over the top of the city walls.
The Undead died, and the machines liquefied into molten metal under the Dragon Breath.
This was the terrifying nature of the Dragon Clan.
High agility, a sturdy body capable of resisting many forms of damage,
yet their own breath could wipe out swathes of enemies.
They quickly cleared several machine positions.
The Silver Dragon, leading the giant dragons, stormed into the airspace over the city.
Their enormous dragon eyes quickly scanned the area below within the city.
They soon spotted the man in the brocade robe, being shielded by many, at the front of the lord’s manor.
Looking back at the Dragon Clan, which had already suffered heavy losses,
it let out an angry roar and with the giant dragons by its side, charged into the city.
The target was confirmed, killing him would end this battle.
…
“Release the Bone Dragon and all flying units!” Fang Hao ordered loudly.
The messenger ran down swiftly.
The next second,
from the troop hiding caves in four gate positions, a swarm of Bone Dragons clad in shimmering silver armor poured out like swarming birds from a nest,
along with hordes of Skeleton Giant Bats and Skeleton Vultures.
The sudden appearance of these skeletal flying troops rose like four spreading plumes of smoke, swirling above the city’s skies,
covering the sun and striking fear with their presence.
The Dragon Clan, rushing into the city’s airspace, were startled by the sight.
What’s going on!
The number of Bone Dragons, at least, was in the thousands, and there were even more of the smaller flying troops.
Not giving the Dragon Clan much time to consider,
the whirlwind of bones began tightening the encirclement.
‘Deaths Breath’ swept towards the giant dragons from all directions, and countless bats and vultures, like a swarm of bees, also plunged into the attack.
Even the living giant dragons, more agile than most,
could not resist such numerous attacks.
In an instant, the bones and bodies of giants dragons fell from the sky.
Silver Dragon Beata was filled with horror.
She had never imagined that the transmigrator, who had always kept his identity hidden, whom she had been investigating, could possess such formidable military power.
Now all their dragons were encircled within the range of the Bone Dragons.
Trying to break out seemed nearly impossible.
“Ms. Beata, if we kill that transmigrator, we can win and break through the encirclement to escape,” the dragon hero ‘Ashibern’ reminded nearby.
With him dead, the leaderless Undead would naturally scatter and flee, or even start fighting among themselves.
Silver Dragon Beata glanced below, her enormous dragon eyes filled with hatred towards that man.
She had initially felt somewhat reluctant to kill him.
Now, since he had caused the deaths of so many of their kind, she had no choice but to kill him.
“Alright, I’ll kill him,” Beata roared angrily.
As she spoke, swarms of skeletal troops tightly surrounded her massive body,
layer upon layer, covering her completely.
“Ms. Beata!!” Ashibern shouted.
As his voice fell,
a Thunderbolt struck the sky.
The sky suddenly thundered, and numerous Thunder Snakes, like falling silver-white War Spears, descended from the sky.
In an instant, the surrounding Undead were pierced by Thunder Swords, turning into a rain of bones, falling from the sky.
The Silver Dragon dove downward, her body flashing with silver arcs of electricity.
Just as two Bone Dragons blocked her path, the Thunderbolt transformed into two flashing Giant Swords, piercing through the chests of the Bone Dragons.
Killed instantly again!
Continuing downward, just as she was about to reach her target,
a blood-red energy spear shot upwards from below.
The Silver Dragon quickly twisted her body to dodge, and looking down, she saw an incredibly stunning woman with bat wings blocking her path.
Blood Clan…
Another powerful Blood Clan hero.
Just how many trump cards did this transmigrator have?
“Blood Clan, you dare interfere in the affairs of the Dragon Clan? Aren’t you afraid of dragging ‘Eternal Night City’ into this?” Beata’s voice grew even colder.
She could feel that this woman was very dangerous.
Rolana just smiled slightly, “Why say so much? Killing him will only make things more difficult for me.”
As she finished speaking, dark-red spears converged from all around,
and shot towards the Silver Dragon.
Beata was shocked. Facing the densely packed and powerful Blood Spears,
she dared not meet them head-on like she would bullets.
As the Blood Spears neared, her body quickly shifted into human form and she rapidly descended from the sky,
dodging the Blood Spears at the last moment before transforming back into a dragon form and charging towards the humans in front of the lord’s manor.
Seizing the opportunity.
Roar!!
A blinding light suddenly flared up.
A silvery column of light instantly covered the target.
When the Dragon Breath dissipated, the spot where he had just stood was empty.
Only a pool of molten metal remained, flowing and spreading across the floor.
Success!
