Chapter 1063: Chapter 671, Slaughter Fang Hao Tonight
Fang Hao snapped back to reality.
He dressed himself while asking, “What were you up to last night? I thought you went down to the worksite to work by yourself!”
Last night, he had brought Rolana over, intending to connect emotionally with her in the evening.
To raise the last bit of affection and break through the final barrier.
But after Anjia took her away, she hadn’t come back all night.
Fang Hao waited for a while before going to sleep.
It was not until he got up this morning that he saw her again.
“I didn’t have anything to do last night, so I finished all the novels I had, and even went to the amusement park area,” Rolana said, covering half of her calf with the hem of her dress.
Rolana, though not afraid of the sunlight,
still kept the Blood Clan’s habits of feeling more comfortable in the night.
But reading novels all night, it felt like the old times for him.
Fang Hao continued, “I’ll have someone clean your room later, so don’t go back to Blood Castle just yet. Stay a few days to get familiar with the place.”
Rolana’s eyes flickered with a hint of panic.
Jumping down from the windowsill, she said, “That wouldn’t be good, would it? Rebecca might misunderstand.”
Fang Hao stroked his chin, lost in thought.
Then he said, “In that case, the main city is not safe right now. As a hero stationed here, it should be fine for you to protect the main city here, and Rebecca shouldn’t get angry over such a thing.”
Rolana hesitated for a moment but eventually nodded her head.
Fang Hao gave a slight smile.
Pulling her arm, he kissed her hand and then left the room.
He went to reorganize the territory’s defenses.
Although he was very confident in his military strength,
the reputation of the Dragon Clan was indeed significant, and there was still some pressure.
…
Mount Dragon Peak, Council of Elders.
Above the splendid palace, there were three tall thrones.
But only on the leftmost throne sat a man with an indifferent face.
Gazing downward, his eyes were full of questions.
“Beata, are you sure the intelligence is reliable?”
The silver-haired dragon woman, Beata, bowed slightly and said indifferently, “Elder, the intelligence is reliable. The transmigrator who killed a member of our Dragon Clan is called Fang Hao. His territory lies to the north of the Federation of the Hundred Cities and is not hard to find.”
The Elder of the Dragon Clan pondered for a moment and then continued, “Since it’s to the north of the Hundred Cities Federation, our Dragon Clan’s forces cannot reach there. Have you considered this?”
The Dragon Clan was born strong and liked to rely on force to solve problems.
But they were not foolish.
They couldn’t just traverse through the skies above various races’ territories to attack the domain of a transmigrator after a lengthy journey.
Along the way, every time they crossed another species’ land, conflict would arise.
Let alone getting there, they would certainly provoke widespread anger.
The Dragon Clan didn’t care about a single transmigrator, but sending troops over was an issue.
Beata said directly, “Elder, you can rest assured, I will not act impulsively and cause trouble for the Dragon Clan. These days, through the Trade Alliance and transmigrators, I have acquired many Teleportation Scrolls. When the time comes, we can teleport nearby and then rush to the enemy’s territory.”
The Elder of the Dragon Clan curiously looked at Beata.
The identity of the deceased Dragon Clan member had been confirmed; it was the long-lost Fire Dragon—Spencer.
Normally, Beata and Spencer were not acquainted.
So why did it seem Beata hated the transmigrator who killed a member of the Dragon Clan so much that she even spent her own money on scrolls to hastily go and carry out the killing?
Youth indeed…
But this sense of kinship with a fellow clan member was still commendable.
With a slight sigh, “You… are you not afraid of falling into an ambush there, with the situation being unclear? If he could kill ‘Spencer,’ it means he has the power to contend with the Dragon Clan.”
Beata stood tall, her chest swelling as she declared, “Elder, the dignity of the Dragon Clan cannot be trampled upon. If we delay too long, other species will see and think that the power of the Dragon Clan is waning, which might encourage them to act against us.”
The Dragon Clan was a treasure trove in itself.
It could also provoke the greed of other races.
The fear that the other races have towards the Dragon Clan now is also the result of the Dragon Clan’s ferocious retaliation.
After some hesitation, the Elder nodded, “Very well, this matter has indeed been dragging on for too long. Tell me, how many dragons do you need?”
“I and Aerygon, plus an additional two hundred giant dragons.”
Two hundred!
The Elder was startled.
That was enough to flatten a whole power!
Moreover, although giant dragons were just troopers for the Dragon Clan, the Dragon Clan had great difficulty in reproducing.
The two hundred dragons available, if lost, would indeed seriously weaken the Dragon Clan.
The Elder said, “I do not have the authority to give you two hundred giant dragons, but I can grant you one hundred.”
With two Dragon Clan heroes and one hundred giant dragons,
it was enough to flatten the Federation of the Hundred Cities, let alone deal with a single transmigrator.
Of course, deploying so many giant dragons was also a statement to the other species:
Anyone who dares to kill members of the Dragon Clan will be met with relentless revenge, and their affiliated forces will be crushed.
Beata nodded, “Thank you, Elder.”
…
Main city, Skeleton Conversion Field.
Fang Hao, with the Dragon Crystal he had just wished for, came to the conversion field.
He opened the interface and directly chose to recruit.
[Hundredfold Amplification Triggered, Recruiting Bone Dragons 1818.]
Whew!!
Over eighteen hundred massive Bone Dragons.
They covered the sky above the city.
The sudden sense of oppression tightened the hearts of all living creatures in the city.
“Head to the area north of the city and await orders,” Fang Hao called out loudly.
Whooosh!!
The Bone Dragons flapped their wings, and with a whooshing sound, they headed toward the north of the city.
Fortunately, Fang Hao gave his orders in time.
Otherwise, the landing of over two thousand Bone Dragons would have likely crushed numerous buildings and flowers.
These Bone Dragons had been obtained by Fang Hao all along, through wishing and accumulating Dragon Crystals.
He had not used them before.
Now, knowing that the Dragon Clan was still investigating him, he grew somewhat worried about the safety of the main city.
He decided to summon them all at once.
Worst comes to worst, he would just have to build more Troop Hiding Caves.
Whooosh!!
A sound of rushing air came from beside him as Rolana landed, folding her enormous Bat Wing.
“What’s happening?”
From all directions, the rapid footsteps of heroes and military units could be heard rushing over.
Even though they recognized the Bone Dragons, the recent event had caught everyone’s attention.
Fang Hao explained, “It’s nothing, just summoned some Bone Dragons, there’s no danger.”
Seeing it was just troop recruitment,
everyone dispersed.
But Rolana didn’t leave, “Where to next?”
“Outside the north city.”
Rolana wrapped her arms around his shoulders, and with her great Bat Wing spread wide, she carried him toward the north city gate.
“First to the Blacksmith’s, to call on Kulyn and the others.”
Halfway through the flight, they immediately changed direction and headed for the blacksmith’s shop.
…
Outside the city gates.
Fang Hao had crafted an appropriate number of Dragon Armor pieces, which he handed over to the Blacksmiths to fit onto the Bone Dragons.
After a recount,
the number of Bone Dragons within his territory had reached 3,328.
Aside from those spread across various locations,
over two thousand were in the main city.
Unless the entire Dragon Clan came to attack him, these Bone Dragons should have no problem defending themselves.
Even if the whole Dragon Clan did indeed come to attack,
the multitude of Bone Dragons would last long enough for him to evacuate everyone from this place.
In fact, his advantages were already quite clear.
Even if the main city fell, as long as people survived, he could continue to develop in any other city.
With these thoughts, he proceeded to upgrade all the Troop Hiding Caves,
making arrangements for the Bone Dragons to be placed inside.
With the Bone Dragon matter settled,
Fang Hao made some simple rearrangements within the city.
The Skeleton Archers in the Troop Hiding Caves were checked, their equipment, and their quivers replenished.
The anti-aircraft devices on the city walls were also inspected and repaired by the Skeleton Engineers.
There had been no war in the main city for quite some time,
and the equipment had barely been touched.
But they couldn’t ignore the threat of the Dragon Clan, so they replaced what needed replacing and repaired what needed repairing.
“Zulayka!” Fang Hao called out softly.
The Harpy stepped forward, “My lord, your command?”
“Yes, Harpy, I need you to work a bit harder recently, expand the scouting range, and report back immediately if any flying targets approach!”
“Yes, my lord,” she said, then flapped her wings and took off.
…
Inside the cave on Dragon Tooth Mountain,
Aerygon sat in a stone chair and softly said, “Ms. Beata, I can offer some help with the force of arms.”
He looked at the stacks of alcohol at the eastern gate and felt it peculiar.
The wine-loving Beata had suddenly stopped drinking; the various fine wines he sent her were still piled up, untouched.
Was she abstaining from alcohol so abruptly?
Beata glanced at him and said, “The upcoming journey could be dangerous; human bodies are frail, better you don’t go.”
She had actually taken quite good care of this human subordinate.
Aerygon nodded, “Thank you for your concern, Ms. Beata, but please allow me to express my own thoughts.”
“Go ahead!” Beata looked at him.
Having witnessed several Dragon Clan battles since his birth in Dragon Clan territory, Aerygon didn’t think Fang Hao could hold off an assault by the Dragon Clan. If not for his quick escape the last time, he would have been dead in the Trade Alliance headquarters already.
After a moment’s thought, he hurriedly said, “A transmigrator usually has many allies, with a mixed and disorderly crowd. As a transmigrator myself, I could occupy an affiliated city nearby, recruit troops, and assist the Dragon Clan in battle, clearing the battlefield and capturing enemies. Dragons have their inconveniences, after all.”
It was indeed a concern.
Many of the Dragon Clan’s troops could not transform into human form until they became heroes.
Cleaning up after a battle and chasing down scattered enemies would indeed pose a problem.
They really did need manpower for that.
If Aerygon occupied an affiliated city and recruited troops, it could also increase their own forces.
After thinking it over, Beata nodded, “Alright, then follow along. When the time comes, recruit some soldiers too.”
Aerygon’s face brightened, afraid that Beata would leave him behind.
He immediately said, “Yes, I definitely won’t let Ms. Beata down.”
While they were talking,
the voice of the Dragon Clan hero – ‘Ashibern’ sounded outside the door, “Ms. Beata, the troops accompanying us are ready to move out at any time.”
Beata nodded, then turned to Aerygon, “Go get ready, tonight we’ll take down that Fang Hao.”
“Right away, Ms. Beata.”
