1068 The Library
There was a huge difference between an intermediate game and a beginner game.
The first was the players.
Most of the players who entered the intermediate games were far stronger than the players in the elementary game world.
After all, they had all chosen to enter intermediate games, so the players’ overall quality was relatively higher.
In terms of the number of players, the total number of players in the intermediate game was about one-third of the elementary world.
However, as intermediate games did not have a mirror world server, the player density was only slightly lower than in elementary games.
After entering the Empire, he could already foresee that there will be many players.
Due to the special nature of the trial mission, Wei Tao reminded everyone to be more careful and to hide their identities so that they would not be exposed.
The group rode the Empire griffins into the main city’s farm. The City Lord had received news of Tang Mingyue at the first moment and had come to welcome her in advance.
Everyone immediately split up according to what they had discussed earlier.
Under the arrangement of the City Lord’s accompanying guards, Fang Heng, Sandy and the rest went to the Empire Royal Library.
The person leading the way was one of the City Lord’s knight commanders, a woman with long golden hair named Nicole.
Nicole led the two of them into the Empire Royal Library.
“Dear guests, the first floor of the Empire Royal Library is open to the citizens of the Empire, the second and third floors are open to the nobles, and the fourth and fifth floors require special permission.”
The first time she saw Fang Heng, Nicole sensed a strange smell from him.
She nodded and said, “I’ve already spoken to the management staff. With special permission from Her Highness Mingyue, you may browse as you please in the library.”
“Okay, thank you very much.”
Sandy’s face was filled with excitement as he walked towards the art exhibit books that he was interested in.
Fang Heng admitted that he didn’t put his talent points into studying and was naturally uninterested in it. He thought that since Sandy and Qiu Yaokang could discover something about the savage beasts, he didn’t need to get involved.
He would just take a cursory look around and see if he could find a way to transplant the sacred tree back home.
Wondering if spells could do that, Fang Heng climbed up one level by one level.
The higher the level of the library, the fewer people there were.
Soon, Fang Heng found a book titled “The General History of Magic in the Empire” on a bookshelf on the outside on the fourth level.
“Spells…”
Fang Heng muttered to himself in a low voice.
In the game world, players usually summarized certain academic studies as spells.
In addition to the completely opposite sacred study and necromancy, there was also the study of elements, natural life, space, and so on.
There was a natural barrier between some academics. So far, no one had heard of anyone who was proficient in all magic-related academics in the game.
As he read on, Fang Heng noticed the natural life science in the spells.
The nature mages used the natural energy in the air to cast all kinds of spells.
The wood element was one of them, and it had a strong vitality.
Would it be able to help the sacred tree complete the transplant?
Fang Heng picked up a book on the introduction to natural life.
As soon as he touched it, a game prompt appeared on his retina.
[Hint: The player’s willpower is higher than 45, physique is higher than 60, and intelligence is higher than 50. The learning requirements are met.]
[Hint: The player’s current natural science academic talent: 2.2.]
[Hint: The player can choose to learn natural science.]
[Hint: The player currently does not have a bloodline or an academic that conflicts with natural-type academic knowledge, but the number of the player’s talents has exceeded the warning value. Additional learning of academic knowledge, bloodline and others will greatly increase the difficulty of cultivation (it will also affect the learned academic knowledge and bloodline). Please choose carefully.]
[Hint: Under the current special trial environment, the player will receive an additional penalty for reading books to learn skills. It is estimated that the player will spend 87 hours mastering academic-elementary nature. Do you wish to learn i?]
87 hours?
It’s enough to end the trial several times!
Fang Heng was speechless. He closed the book silently and put it back on the shelf.
It made sense when he thought about it. He could enter the fifth level of the Royal Library so easily because of Tang Mingyue’s identity, which was equivalent to a bug in the game. It was reasonable for the game to limit the bugs that could be foreseen.
He was just a little unhappy.
Fang Heng pondered for a while.
Otherwise…
After looking around, Fang Heng gave up the idea of sneakily taking the books away.
Forget it.
In this kind of trial environment, the risk of stealing was too high, and it could easily cause a collapse in the trial.
After thinking for a while, Fang Heng picked up the introductory theory of the spatial system beside him.
Since he was already here, he could test his academic talents.
Fang Heng walked along the bookshelves and made a small half-circle on the fifth floor.
Among all the academic skills he had checked, the tuition fee for spatial learning was the most expensive. It took a full 255 hours to master.
In addition, most of his academic talents were in the range of 0.001-10.
...
He was only very talented in fire elemental spells. It was as high as 98 points!
However, it wasn’t very useful.
The mark on the back of his hand had the ability to slowly improve his academic talent.
The prerequisite was to find the correct cultivation method.
It seemed that the effect of learning was quite low, only increasing talent by 0.0001 each time. However, as long as it was combined with talent skills and thousands of zombie clones under his command to train day and night, the efficiency of improvement was extremely terrifying.
For example, his necromancy talent.
And then there was…
Fang Heng squinted his eyes.
The sacred study!
Fang Heng’s gaze swept across the “Overview of the Sacred Study” on the bookshelf.
This continent also had a Holy Court.
...
However, the royal family of the Mahert Empire had always been prejudiced and wary of religion. They had strict control over religion, and the development of the Holy Court in the Empire had always been restricted.
Similarly, necromancy scholars were extremely rare on this continent.
Fang Heng roughly flipped through the “Mahert Empire Magic Academic Lecture Notes” in his hands and couldn’t help feeling indignant for necromancy.
Due to some people’s intentional promotion, necromancy was maliciously defamed on this continent.
It was even considered a symbol of disaster.
Disaster?
What nonsense was this!
Fang Heng was very unhappy.
In the real world, he had received a lot of care from the Necromancer Association and had unconsciously treated himself as a member of necromancy.
Fang Heng put the book back and opened another book.
Eh?
It was actually an undead skill book!
Fang Heng’s eyes lit up.
[Hint: The player has fulfilled the skill record conditions.]
[Hint: The player can choose to copy the skill-bone spear into the Book of the Dead. After the copying is completed, the player can use the Book of the Dead to release the skill.]
[Hint: The player’s current level of necromancy can only learn a maximum of three elementary necromancy skills. The Book of the Dead can only record a maximum of five spells.]
[Hint: The player can spend 100 merit points to copy it (in the trial state, the consumption is five times that of the normal state).]
[Hint: Do you want to choose spell copy?]
