Season 4: Chapter 203. Civil War (1)
The Knights thought this was truly the end.
‘Damn...’
‘Zelu is way too strong.’
‘Our chakra is running out...’
‘Sis... this is...’
It wasn’t just their focus as gamers breaking. Viewers were dropping out one by one due to the uneven numbers. Everyone assumed the Knights would lose, so interest naturally died off. At least, they thought that for a moment.
“I’m here to end the war~.”
Kwa-boom!
Almond suddenly appeared. Only when he stepped in did they realize the truth.
‘His chakra... is insane.’
‘It’s all flowing to him...!
‘This is the Guardian’s chakra!’
The viewers, who had drifted away from the Knights, had only returned to their true master. The moment Almond descended, everyone who’d been fighting backed off. The battlefield quieted. Even the enemy leader stood with unexpected formality.
“Ohhhh~ My~~~ LORD~~~!”
— ?
— ??
— Huh?
— What??
— Why’s he saying that line here? LOL
— What the hell? lmao
“Ah... m-my mistake...” Zelu realized what he’d done, but it was far too late.
The rebels by his side suddenly grew cold.
‘What... was that?’
‘Did Zelu... actually say that?’
‘Is he Pavlov’s dog or something?’
‘Just how evil were the Knights?’
Potato Servant didn’t miss this opening and immediately launched a mental attack. “Hahaha! Your swing is still alive, I see! Scrub Zelu! Your mouth denies it, but your body still belongs to the Lord!”
— The hell LMAOOO
— Oh my god hahaha
— I can’t breathe
— Fr fr
— This dude just wants to mine LOL
— Shouldn’t he just go back to mining??
The rebel leader’s dignity began crumbling.
“Damn it.” Zelu bit down on his lip. “What a pathetic mistake.”
He had been waiting desperately for Almond to arrive.
“To stand before my father’s murderer... and make a mistake like this!!”
The moment Almond appeared, Zelu’s old Scrub habits had slipped out.
— LMAOOO
— He's acting again lol
— And Almond is actually letting him cook LMFAO
“This... this is our reality, Paprika.” Zelu did not gloss over his blunder.
He used it.
“Huh?”
“We were oppressed that deeply! To see the man who killed my father, my tongue bows on its own! My very name was stolen from me, and I was forced to keep my head down in the mines all day long!!”
— Gasp
— Wow...
— Oh no...
— \o/\o/\o/
— He’s right wtf
— Fr though
— Why is the victim the one getting clowned?
— LET’S GOOOO \o/\o/\o/
— \o/\o/
— \o/
— \o/\o/\o/
Kwaaaaaa!
Zelu’s chakra began to explode outward.
“W-What kind of chakra is that...”
“He shouldn’t even be able to stand! This is impossible!”
“Guhhk... I-I can’t endure this...”
The rebel fighters beside him staggered dramatically.
— LMAO HOW ARE THEY unable to withstand it?
— The acting is god-tier, what the hell?
— They’re just trying to siphon chakra
— I’m crying LOL
— Is this spiritual pressure??
It wasn’t entirely acting.
[Current Viewers: 349,000]
Zelu had shattered the 300k wall and had now reached 350k viewers.
“Today... I surpass my father.”
— Kyaaa
— Sage mode
— Zeluto surpasses the Fourth Hokage omg
— I can't take this LMAO
— Kyaaaa
— Insane
“And today... I will surpass you as well, Almond the Fiend!” With a sharp swing, Zelu raised his scarlet hammer.
“WAAAAAAAHHH!”
The rebel forces’ morale shot through the sky.
“I-Isn’t the chakra flowing toward him?”
“It might be...”
The Servant knights grew uneasy. All eyes turned to Almond.
[Current Viewers: 287,000]
Their viewer count was lower than the shareholder meeting. Of course, viewer distribution had split among the Knight members, and not everyone from the meeting would move over immediately.
Almond said nothing.
‘Come on, say something.’
‘You’re the Demon of Interviews!’
A mental battle was needed to pull back the chakra flow.
Almond merely rolled his massive neck, looking almost too relaxed.
“L-Lord? Is it okay not to say anything?”
“We all know each other here! Say something, Lord!”
“What if the chakra doesn’t come back to us?!”
Confusion spread, but Almond only smiled.
“It’ll come.”
“Sir?”
He drew his bow.
“YouTube.”
Everyone’s eyes widened.
The original video Ju-Hyeok had urgently sent Ji-Ah, the edited shareholder meeting footage, had already been uploaded to Almond’s channel at breakneck editing speed.
[I’m Sorry.]
The thumbnail showed Sang-Hyeon in a suit, bowing. The views skyrocketed with a pinned comment underneath.
[Pinned]
[If you support Lord Almond, become a shareholder! (Link) One share for ten thousand won~]
Viewers replied under the comment.
└ LMAO
└ LET’S GO
└ First time seeing a live Almond stream lol going in
└ Giving Almond ten thousand won bc he’s entertaining ^^
└ Wait, this is live??
└ Real-time LOL crazy
YouTube viewers, who only watched edited videos, now realized that this was happening live. They began clicking the link one by one.
“T-This...” Zelu adjusted his sunglasses and covered his mouth.
Bzzzzzzzt!!
Lightning crashed down to earth. No, a galaxy had gathered in one place. The light looked capable of splitting the world in two.
— LMAOOOO
— What is this lag?
— Holy...
— WAIT WHAT
— OMG
— The server is dying
— @&$@&%
— Is this it??
— I came from Almond’s apology video~
— “Here to end the war~”
— Buster call assembled
— \o/\o/
— \o/
— LAGGG
— Fun fact: Almond has more viewers right now than the national stream LOL
— Insane
— LET’S GOOOO
— \o/
[Current Viewers: 431,000]
His channel had answered his call.
“Let’s go.”
Grrrrk...!
Almond drew his bow.
“WAAAAAAAHHH!”
Morale exploded as all the Knights charged forward.
“Scream, my spear!!”
“Roar, my blade!”
“Die!”
“Hehehe!”
— These skill names omg LOL
— “Roar” LMAO
— I can’t do this hahahaha
— Three hours of lessons from them would make anyone roar
— Kyaaa
— This is insane
Zelu regained his focus and activated his own skill. “Hell...”
[Runway of the Vermillion Bird]
Fwoooooosh!
[Hellfire]
BOOOOOM!
Black hellfire clashed with the Vermillion Bird’s crimson blaze. Paprika’s forces charged in at full strength.
“Tear apart the cursed Knights!”
“This is our only chance!”
“Kill theeeeem!”
BOOOOOM!
Four Knights and the entire rebel faction collided head-on.
— WOW
— Holy crap
— A server with no combat features is producing THIS level of warfare???
— LMFAOOOOO
— Lowkey this might be the greatest streamer server event ever
— The Guardian skills aren’t even hurting Zelu T_T
Black flames roared as acrid smoke swallowed the battlefield.
“Diiie! You traitor bastard!” Maid Black Tea charged at ForeverAlone.
CRASH!
Frost and crimson fire collided. Steam billowed everywhere. The world blurred into a white haze.
“D-Damn it! I can’t see!”
Whoosh!
Radish Servant carved through the steam and slashed someone down.
Shraaaak!
Potato Servant thrust his spear forward. “For the Lord!”
Thunk!
At this rate, the rebel fighters were no match for the Knights’ strength. At least, not one-on-one.
“Kill them!”
“Surround them! Here!!”
Ka-gagang!
Ka-kang!
However, the numbers changed everything.
“D-Damn it?!”
“Gah!”
“I’ll handle the rebel fighters~.” Almond drifted in.
Bang!
One of the enemies clinging to the frontlines instantly vanished.
“L-Lord!”
“The Lord is providing backline support! How is he shooting when we can’t even see!?”
Bang!
Bang! Bang!
One arrow, one kill.
“He’s the Lord! We must protect him while he fires!”
— LMAO fr
— He’s just THE Lord
— Insane
— Kyaaa
— Seeing Almond shoot from the enemy’s POV is crazy lol
— Wow
— Feels like watching a national team player
“Fight in a ranged-DPS protection formation!” Radish Servant yelled to the Tea sisters.
“Yes!”
“Roger~!”
The Knights formed a tight perimeter, keeping some distance from Almond while preventing anyone from approaching. Everyone here was familiar with the formation. It was second nature.
***
‘Oh...’
Under the Knights’ guard, Almond easily nocked another arrow.
‘That’s four.’
Bang!
Another enemy dropped.
— Damn
— Kyaaa
— So clean
— That hit felt GOOD
His strategy was simple. Snipe from where he couldn’t be seen. The smoke hid everything, but it didn’t matter.
[Dark Vision]
Every buff imaginable covered him. He saw the enemy heat signatures as clear as day.
‘There.’
Another target.
Grrrk...
Almond drew his bow and didn’t even need to use a Guardian skill. He already had dozens of attack buffs. He didn’t just release an arrow, but a bomb. All he had to do was aim right for the target’s forehead. Something he’d done thousands of times.
Thunk.
The arrow embedded itself perfectly.
“Huh...?” The enemy only noticed after the arrow was already sticking out of his forehead.
He assumed one hit wouldn’t kill him.
[Explosion Attribute]
[Attack Power +450%]
[Critical Damage +250%]
[Critical Chance +70%]
PUH-OOOOOONG!!
He exploded on the spot.
[Tempura has exploded.]
“W-What the!?” Olive, who stood beside him, recoiled in shock as the splash damage also struck her.
She was also a Survival Craft master alongside Parsley.
‘What... is this?’
Even she had never seen anything like it. Before she could recover, an arrow already struck her forehead.
‘Ah...’
PUH-OOOOOOOOONG!!
[Olive has exploded.]
— LMAO what
— Wow LOL
— Holy...
— These buffs are insane
— I’ve never felt so proud as a viewer LOL
— Wow
— This is the power of Cheese, you rebel rats
— I’m dying lmfao
The explosion show continued.
Bang...!
[Celery has exploded!]
Bang! Bang! Bang!!
[Oatmeal has exploded!]
[Tofu has exploded!]
Paprika’s top officers died off like nothing.
— Kyaaa
— THIS is it
— Wow lmfao
— Insane
— Totally worth buffing him
— Awww yeah~~
Almond’s viewers felt delighted. Who else could make such terrifying use of their buffs?
‘Okay. Next.’
Grrrik.
Almond immediately aimed at the next target.
“L-Lord! O-One of them broke through!”
“Damn!”
Someone had slipped past the Knights’ formation and charged straight for Almond.
‘Oh...’
It was a familiar face.
[ForeverAlone]
Almond lowered his bow. He couldn’t shoot.
Thud.
ForeverAlone leaped past the Knights and landed before him.
“Lord...”
Frost seeped off of him as he stood there.
“Lackey ForeverAlone.”
Their eyes met.
“How... how could you do this to me? Do you know how much I dedicated myself to the Knights?”
‘That’s... backwards.’
Almond knew. What he did to ForeverAlone couldn’t be forgiven. He understood why ForeverAlone had betrayed them. Receiving an enormous surge of chakra all at once... No one could handle that.
‘This is the best I can do for him.’
Almond tilted his head innocently. “Hm? You were part of the Knights?”
Yes, he pretended not to remember. If they were going to fight anyway, it was economically more optimal to make ForeverAlone rage with maximum chakra.
— ?
— ???
— LMAOOOOO
— AHAHAHAHA
— He’s just teabagging him
— Bro stop omg
— He literally called him Lackey ForeverAlone earlier
— He’s committing emotional war crimes
The reaction was explosive.
“W-What... did you say?”
Crack...!
ForeverAlone bit down on his lip. “Every time... Every single time, it’s like this with you. Lord, I stayed by your side! I did everything for you! And you don’t even remember!?”
Thus, Lackey ForeverAlone truly fell into darkness.
“G-Gi-Chan... can forgive... but...”
Shrrring!
He drew his sword.
“LACKEY FOREVERALONE CAN’T HOLD BACK!!” Screaming in agony, ForeverAlone charged at full power.
Ding!
[HowCouldYou has donated 10,000 won!]
[I loved you... you bastard]
Ding!
[MegaGi-Chan has donated 10,000 won!]
[\o/\o/\o/]
Ding!
[GOGO has donated 10,000 won!]
[Give me a chikicha!]
Crackle!
Buffs poured endlessly into ForeverAlone’s blade. It burned pure white.
[Frost Wind]
Cold surged outward. Almond drew his own sword to face him.
[Wisdom of the Black Turtle]
The Black Turtle’s form overlaid him.
ForeverAlone swung without hesitation. “RAAAAAAAAH!!”
Two massive chakras collided.
KWAAAAANG!
— Lackey ForeverAlone has truly fallen LOL
— Oh no...
— I can’t breathe LOL
— Damn
— Why isn’t Almond using his bow... why... why won’t he go all out...
— Omg LOL
— This is insane
— LEGENDARY
— The scary part is that Gi-Chan isn’t acting.
