Chapter 1061: Chapter 1055: Buddhist Dao
In the Dusheng Nunnery, ruins of Buddhist temples devastated by the Ancestor of the Azure Cloud Li Clan could be seen everywhere.
Spatial Spiritual power still wreaked havoc, leaving the Dusheng Nunnery riddled with scars.
Outside the Buddhist pagoda, thousands of Buddhist disciples sat cross-legged.
Even with three Body Integration realm almighty experts gathered in the cloudy sky, they still blocked the way with faces full of devotion, chanting Buddhist scriptures.
The vitality and souls within their bodies were gradually dissipating; those with weaker cultivation were turning into dry bones.
Inside the Buddhist pagoda, Crown Prince Fei Heng squatted in a corner with a blank expression on his face.
Nun Dairou and the two Dharma Masters sat cross-legged in front of their respective Bodhisattva statues, their expressions solemn.
“We hold Crown Prince Fei Heng in our hands; they won’t dare to act rashly.”
Nun Dairou’s expression was cold.
Facing these three Body Integration experts, she originally had plenty of time to prepare many of her trump cards.
But that person from the Li Clan had arrived suddenly, destroying her cauldrons and destroying half of the Buddhist temples and Buddha bodies in the Grotto-Heaven Paradise.
Now that the Grotto-Heaven Paradise’s grand array had been broken, she didn’t have many choices either.
“Hongzhen, you have prepared for many years. Break through the Dao. Hongdan and Hongjie’s believers will also be handed over to you. Once you have broken through the Dao, face the enemy together with me.”
“Yes, Nun,” Dharma Master Hongdan said without any complaints.
But Dharma Master Hongzhen’s expression changed.
“Nun, we have prepared for many years, liberating the people of the world toward goodness and protecting the world. If I truly break through the Dao, from now on, the people of the world will view our Buddhist sect… as demons!”
“Hmph.” Facing formidable enemies at this moment, Nun Dairou acted uncharacteristically.
Gone was her usual compassionate appearance; her face was covered in gloom.
“If we do not become true Buddhas, how can we liberate the great world? Between great good and minor evil, the Buddha chooses the great good.
The ignorant people of the world need to be enlightened.
Even if they harbor resentment when sacrificed, once they undergo rebirth and see that we have forged the Buddha Paradise, it will be a completely different scene.”
Dharma Master Hongzhen hesitated for a long time, but seeing the resolute expressions of Nun Dairou and Junior Sister Hongdan, she had no choice but to nod.
She immediately formed hand seals, and Buddhist light bloomed from within the Dusheng Bodhisattva behind her.
It even pierced through the Dusheng Nunnery, shooting straight into the cloudy sky.
…
Inside the Thunder Fire Demon Cave.
Holy Monk Yidian, who had been hiding for many years, suddenly opened his eyes, a look of anger visible on his face. Golden light rippled in his large, cloudy eyes.
As his vision pierced through the Thunder Fire Demon Cave, he saw specks of golden light shining in the cloudy sky; that was the power of faith of all living beings.
“People should inherently believe in themselves rather than gods and Buddhas, and those in the Buddhist sect should liberate themselves rather than others.
Yet there are Buddhists playing gods and ghosts, making fools out of benevolent believers and feeding on the power of faith.”
He wanted to stand up, but remembering that Min Tiange had still not revealed himself, he let out a sigh.
“It’s too late. I can only blame myself, this poor monk, for leaving these fish that slipped through the net back then.”
But just as his words fell, a hint of shock flashed across Holy Monk Yidian’s expression as he looked toward Westfall Prefecture.
“Strange.”
At this moment.
All across the world, around the temples built by the Dusheng Nunnery, the believers who worshipped the so-called Bodhisattva of Rebirth, Dusheng Bodhisattva, Bodhisattva Ward walked numbly toward the temples.
They burned incense, worshipped the Buddha, and chanted Buddhist scriptures, their power of faith flowing toward Shadowfell Prefecture.
The bodies of these believers weakened and aged at a pace visible to the naked eye.
In the Eternal Immortal Sect of Westfall Prefecture.
Within the forbidden grounds where Li Jianning was cultivating, he was currently forging his dantian.
Ancestor Lan, who was originally staring at him in appreciation, suddenly raised his head and saw the power of faith in the cloudy sky above Azure Cloud Prefecture and Westfall Prefecture, heading in specks toward Shadowfell Prefecture.
He let out a cold snort. “Opportunistic tricksters, ruining the reputation of us Daoist cultivators. How unlucky.”
He then raised his hand and waved his sleeve. The continuously rising power of faith was suppressed back down by this wave of his sleeve.
The old Daoist’s face darkened as he cursed, “I wish upon you, Fake Bodhisattva, that all you desire remains unattainable.”
At the same time.
All across the world, almighty experts cursed inwardly, each deploying divine abilities to block the stolen power of faith.
“Doing this again; this is the second batch.”
“This time it’s the doing of the Buddhist sect, even worse than the past, sigh.”
“This is fatal, excavating even people’s souls. Utterly lacking in virtue. If this happens time and time again, the people of the world will imitate it, and the world will fall into chaos.”
“…”
But even with divine abilities deployed, half of the faith power still flowed toward Shadowfell Prefecture.
This faith power converged in the direction of the Dusheng Nunnery’s lotus statue.
Zhao Guang glared angrily, having already sensed the anomaly inside the Dusheng Nunnery.
He even saw Dharma Master Hongzhen, her face full of compassion, standing in front of the Dao Gate. At this moment, Dharma Master Hongzhen’s Dao path could not be clearer.
And what Dharma Master Hongzhen was doing filled his heart with rage.
If it weren’t for the fact that Fei Heng was in the hands of these demonesses, people like her would be deep-fried in the Department of Immortal Suppression a thousand times over!
At the same time.
Li Wei and his clansmen also stared at the specks in the cloudy sky; this power of faith was heading toward Dharma Master Hongzhen.
“The Dusheng Bodhisattva soothes the minds and souls of the people. The believers in its temples lose their desires because of this—but in truth, their souls have been stripped away, the portion belonging to ‘evil’ forcibly extracted.”
Li Wei said softly, “Dharma Master Hongzhen fought Kuanghua to suppress her mind. This so-called ‘tranquility’—once a person’s soul is stripped away, they will naturally become tranquil… even if their very lives are taken along with it…
Entering their sight.
In front of Dharma Master Hongzhen stood a Dao Gate.
As the faith power of all living beings arrived, the souls of living creatures appeared one after another behind the Dusheng Bodhisattva.
These souls were originally the “evil” parts of people. Having also been drained of their vitality, they actually wailed like vicious ghosts and then crawled densely toward Dharma Master Hongzhen’s Dao Gate.
How is this the Buddhist Dao? This is hell.
