At that moment, Jacob’s eyes flared with shock and disbelief, as if raging flames, because he had finally realized the crux of the matter and why entities like Destin Saint were acting against him.
"Immortal Nimrod!"
Jacob called that name with deep fury and hatred, as it was the first time he had learned the name of that hunter who had been hunting him and was the main reason for this misfortune.
’Although I know he’s been hunting me because I have the Cursed Immortality by using the Longevity Path Glory Gem, I have no idea he’s been hunting ’Cursed Ones’ specifically so he could increase his powers.
’Not only that, but according to Destin Saint, Immortal Nimrod might be another heir of a UGS, but it’s just a speculation. The last damning thing about all of this is that Immortal Nimrod is from the Universal Void, which means the real Longevity Path Glory Gem should be there. This changes everything...’
Although Immortika had given Jacob clues about Immortal Nimrod, the Cursed Book didn’t specifically reveal who he was and where he came from, not to mention the part about Immortal Nimrod specifically going after every heir of Cursed Immortality. He seemed to have succeeded every time.
Jacob wanted to question Immortika right away, but he waited and kept those questions in his heart, continuing to watch for now because there were too many things he didn’t know, and this was an excellent opportunity to get a clear picture of everything.
As Jacob watched, he noticed that Alexandra didn’t seem too thrilled about getting involved in this fight between Destin Saint and Immortal Nimrod, especially when she realized Immortal Nimrod was as powerful as her ’benefactor’.
Furthermore, when Jacob heard Destin Saint suddenly wanted to leave while taking his body, he was shocked because if this were to really happen, he would be done for.
But he was also astounded because if Destin Saint took his body, doesn’t this mean Alexandra won’t be able to retrieve the Gluttony Mask on his body, if she really knew it was on him?
Not only that, but if Destin Saint got his hands on the Gluttony Mask, he would have another thing to control Alexandra, and retrieving it from Destin Saint’s hand was nigh impossible compared to Jacob.
When Jacob saw Alexandra’s reaction and instantly suggested escorting her body back personally, he knew that he was right. She knew about the Gluttony Mask but hadn’t told Destin Saint about it yet.
This turned everything even more interesting, and Jacob even hoped those two would fall out with each other on the spot. Still, apparently, it was impossible because Alexandra wasn’t suicidal enough.
But what made Jacob astounded even more was how Destin Saint tackled her, and he seemed to have a perfect counter for almost everything, as if he already knew which answer led to what outcome, making the mysterious Destin Saint all the more terrifying.
Furthermore, Destin Saint also revealed the treasure that Alexandra was wearing, the Cloak of Occult. When Jacob heard this, the Cloak of Occult could not only help Alexandra in ascending to the Upper Plains without any Ascension Permit, but could also actually elude heirs of UGS, especially the Immortal Nimrod!
’Doesn’t this make the Cloak of Occult like the Gluttony Mask? But since that guy is giving it away so easily, this means it didn’t work against him!’
Jacob’s eyes flickered with a peculiar glint as he looked at the seemingly ordinary cloak Alexandra was wearing, and he didn’t know that Alexandra had the same trail of thoughts as he at that point.
Lastly, Jacob saw how Alexandra was unwilling to give up. Still, Destin Saint didn’t even give her a chance to continue and suppressed her again by promising more benefits.
Jacob was startled when he found that Destin Saint also seemed to have a significant influence on both SAAI and Undying Will, which raised even more pressing questions.
["Now, please leave the task to ’escort’ the Cursed One to the ’Fateless Celestial’. My dear servant is more than capable enough to handle the dangers!"]
At that moment, Jacob’s heart turned cold, and a chill ran down his spine when he saw that Möbius-blade called the ’Fateless Celestial’ devoured his entire body whole without leaving behind any trace, almost masking Alexandra’s expressions.
Suddenly, the reality stopped again, and Jacob’s emotions were running wild at that point after what he saw.
"Hehe~, pretty interesting, right?"
Jacob didn’t react with anger anymore because he knew it wouldn’t bring him anywhere in his current situation, not to mention the enemy was an all-powerful and all-knowing Destin Saint.
"First, I want to know if the heirs of Cursed Immortality before me were all hunted down by the Immortal Nimrod or not?
"Furthermore, it should also be Immortal Nimrod who had broken the Infinity Pendant and kept the Longevity Path Glory Gem to himself so he could easily find your heirs once they reached a certain point of progress, right?
"But then why didn’t he keep the Cursed Path Glory Gem? After all, it wasn’t with the Infinity Pedant when I got it, and I acquired it in the Common Plains in Lesser Plains quite easily.
"At that time, if I remember correctly, you told me the other ’component’ wasn’t like the Cursed Path Glory Gem, which can bring calamity to whoever holds it, right?
"So, doesn’t this mean Immortal Nimrod even knew that? How is that possible, and who is this Immortal Nimrod, really? Does he really have a UGS, and is it related to the ’Void’? Lastly, does his UGS require him to hunt the ’Cursed One’ at some point to progress further?"
Jacob’s questions became sharper as he revealed everything he speculated from what he saw.
His biggest worry right now was still Immortal Nimrod, because Destin Saint’s purpose in capturing him was to also prevent Immortal Nimrod from becoming more powerful and threatening Destin Saint’s interests.
But Immortal Nimrod’s purpose was completely different, and it was to hunt down Jacob specifically.
In a sense, Jacob was even vaguely relieved to have been captured by Destin Saint instead of Immortal Nimrod, since the consequences would’ve been terrifying.
"Hehehe~ we’ll have this chat later because what you’ve been watching was just a trailer..." Immortika ambiguously yet impishly stated.
"What do you mean?" Jacob was startled.
At that moment, the reality played again, and Jacob was astounded because he thought that after Fateless Celestial devoured his body, Immortika might not be able to observe anything. Still, he had again belittled the Cursed Book slightly.
["Now, I’ll be taking my leav...hmm?"]
Jacob instantly noticed the change in Destin Saint’s voice, and he was shocked when he heard that familiar voice and what happened next...!
