"Just tell me everything. Do you think I can’t handle the truth?!"
Just as Jacob’s voice trailed off, and Nyx was about to tell, all of a sudden, Nyx’s figure suddenly stopped with half of her mouth open, and not just her, even the surrounding stars, everything stopped!
Jacob was startled by this strange yet eerie situation, and with everything that had been happening, he panicked a little because, right now, Nyx’s existence was the only thing that gave him the certainty that he was still alive.
’Was it an illusion?’ Jacob thought as his suppressed emotions, which had been dormant for thousands of years, started to surface.
But at that moment...
"Don’t be too hard on the Nightmare for she’s the whole reason you are still yourself...But I wasn’t expecting I would see such a nostalgic reaction! That really reminded me of that day when we first met...hahahahaha..."
Jacob was flabbergasted the moment he heard that annoying voice. Still, at that moment, he felt that the eerie voice was the most melodious, for he knew it represented an absolute statement...he was alive!
Nonetheless, it was very hard for Jacob to calm down as he had been through too many emotions in such a short time. But still, hearing that voice gave Jacob absolute confidence and relief.
"Immortika!" Jacob called with a hint of rare elation in his voice, but that didn’t last as he was confused and lost at that moment, "Just what is going on? What exactly happened, and what did you do to the Nightmare Realm?"
Jacob glanced at Nyx, who seemed to have been stopped at that moment, and so did everything else, and he didn’t need to brainstorm to figure it out that it was Immortika’s doing.
Furthermore, Jacob wasn’t aware that Immortika could even interfere in Nightmare Realm, a projection of Nyx’s ability, to such an extent that it could even freeze everything, including Nyx.
As for Immortika’s presence, Jacob never believed for a second that the Nightmare Realm could block the Cursed Book if the latter really wanted to ’see’ inside, or Nyx would’ve been even more powerful than a Universal Godly Scripture!
"What happened? Hahahaha, something exciting actually, and trust me, it’s riddled with entertainment." Immortika didn’t seem to worry about Jacob’s current mindset, nor did it seem to hurry or panic.
In short, Immortika was being Immortika, which instantly vaporized the newly born goodwill in Jacob’s mind.
"Do you really want to do this even in this unknown situation!?" Jacob angrily roared as he felt he couldn’t contain his anger anymore, nor did he want to try to control it, because everything was driving him to the brink.
"Woah..." Immortika pretended to be startled before chortling, "Alright, alright, I was going to share this with you since the more you share your joy with others, the greater it becomes. But it’s a pity that the Nightmare won’t be able to hear anything since she’s not qualified...yet."
Jacob didn’t care about Immortika’s cryptic words anymore as he was waiting for the Cursed Book to get to the point.
"Hehehe...well, where do I start? Hmmm..." Immortika playfully paused before it spoke again because at that moment the flame in Jacob’s sockets was almost like a blazing inferno, projecting the sheer fury in his very soul.
"So, here’s what happened..."At that moment, Immortika stopped again suddenly.
"WHAT!?" Jacob finally couldn’t take it as he bellowed furiously.
"Well, wouldn’t it be more interesting to show you instead? After all, we are in the Dreamscape Nightmare Realm of your soul, where whatever you imagine or think can turn into reality. I know you won’t mind if I borrow it." Immortika impishly laughed, but Jacob was more startled by Immortika’s intentions.
The next moment, under Jacob’s astounded expression, the entire scene of the nightmare realm shifted.
Although it was the scenery of another space, Jacob instantly realized that it wasn’t the projection that Nyx usually used. Not to mention, Jacob was extremely familiar with that faint aura of life, for it was the last thing he felt before he ended up in this strange state.
Furthermore, under Immortika’s manipulation, the nightmare realm felt like reality. If Jacob weren’t aware of it, he would’ve also thought of this place as reality because when Nyx transformed the Nightmare Realm, Jacob could always tell that it wasn’t real, but not anymore.
It might also be because Nyx wasn’t powerful enough yet, but whatever the case was, Jacob knew that Immortika was immeasurable.
However, Jacob didn’t have time to admire or comprehend Immortika’s unknown power, because at that moment in that familiar space, a doorway formed, and a cloaked figure stepped out, like the harbinger of death, due to the law of death emanating from him.
"Deathless Prince..."
Jacob recognized it immediately because the Deathless Prince walking out of the cosmic gateway was none other than he, himself, wearing the face of the Deathless Prince, and the place he just walked out was the Verdantia Life Galaxy!
At that moment, it wasn’t hard for Jacob to figure out what Immortika was intending to show him using the Nightmare Realm.
It was the scene where everything transpired, and it would be a lie to say that Jacob didn’t want to know what exactly happened to him.
Immortika suddenly spoke in a cheerful tone filled with ecstasy, "Now, don’t blink or everything will be over!"
Jacob didn’t need Immortika to remind him not to mention that he can’t blink as he looked at himself hovering in front of the cosmic gateway.
’It all started with...’ Just as Jacob thought, the cosmic gateway behind Jacob’s started to release unstable fluctuations, and he knew it too well.
But right at that moment, just when the cosmic gateway was about to be shattered just like he remembered, the reality suddenly paused again.
"Did you see it?"Immortika suddenly questioned with a hint of amusement.
"See what? Can you stop with your riddles?"
Jacob was perplexed as he wanted to swear at the Cursed Book, but it took everything in him to keep himself in check since he knew Immortika was revealing the truth, just that it was doing it annoyingly.
Immortika laughed, clearly pleased at that moment, "Hehehe, alright, I’ll help you!"
The next moment, the reality began to move again as the scene played out, and Jacob watched everything.
All of a sudden, Jacob’s eyes contorted, and an icy chill ran down his spine because just when he walked out from the cosmic gateway, he finally saw another figure flying out!
