In stark contrast, Lin Beichen remained standing in place, his expression calm and composed, as if he had just done something trivial. A mocking smile curved at the corner of his mouth as he spoke slowly, "How dare a grain of rice compete with the brilliance of the full moon? Truly overestimating oneself."
He Yuanping struggled to get up, only to find he had lost control of his body. He looked up in terror, his gaze filled with anger and unwillingness as he looked at Lin Beichen.
However, faced with Lin Beichen's indifferent gaze, he eventually could only lower his head and succumb to the cruel reality.
The crowd of onlookers at this moment was utterly shocked into silence.
They looked at He Yuanping lying on the ground, then at the still-standing Lin Beichen, a sense of indescribable awe and fear welling up inside them.
Wang Bing, too, was now pale, unable to believe what he was seeing.
He Yuanping, the bronze medalist in Sanda who he had high hopes for, was effortlessly defeated by Lin Beichen. He felt an unprecedented sense of defeat and humiliation welling up, almost suffocating him.
However, Lin Beichen seemed not to care about any of this. He lazily glanced at Wang Bing, his eyes revealing a sense of disregard and contempt. This disregard made Wang Bing even angrier and more humiliated. He clenched his fists tightly but found himself lacking the courage to charge at Lin Beichen.
The scene fell into a dead silence. Everyone was shocked into speechlessness by the strength Lin Beichen displayed. They knew that from today onwards, the name Lin Beichen would spread throughout Port City, becoming someone no one dared to provoke.
Yet, he didn't take any action because he lacked the courage.
At this moment, Wang Bing couldn't even muster the courage to confront Lin Beichen, whose every approaching step made his legs tremble uncontrollably. If his injuries weren't so severe, he might have fled long ago.
"You, what do you want?" Seeing Lin Beichen approaching step by step, Wang Bing trembled like a leaf, shouting in terror, "You can't harm me, otherwise my father and World Real Estate will never let you go!"
Desperate, he begged for mercy, throwing out every bargaining chip he could, just hoping to barter for a chance of survival. "As long as you let me go, I can give you anything you want—money, women, houses, I can give you everything!"
At this moment, Wang Bing no longer had his previous arrogant demeanor. He was like a dog begging for mercy, evoking sighs from others. People around showed expressions of disbelief. They couldn't imagine that this once high-and-mighty scion of World Real Estate would end up in such a miserable state.
Lin Beichen walked up to Wang Bing, casually patted his face twice, then leaned closer and said, "Who said I was going to kill you? I, Lin, am a kind person, unlike you who's so quick to take lives."
Upon hearing this, a hopeful gleam flashed in Wang Bing's eyes. However, Lin Beichen's subsequent words sent him into an icy abyss.
"But the death penalty can be pardoned, though living sins are inescapable. To prevent you from continuing to harm others, I'll have to administer a little punishment."
A little punishment? Wang Bing looked at Lin Beichen, bewildered.
Lin Beichen merely pointed at his lower body, "That's the source of your wickedness. If it were cut off, perhaps you could turn over a new leaf?"
What? Wang Bing stared wide-eyed in shock. He hadn't expected Lin Beichen to want to render him childless!
Mere moments after his anger subsided, an overwhelming fear surged through him like a tidal wave, completely drowning him.
As Lin Beichen slowly lifted his leg, the fear within him grew heavier and heavier, until finally, he was so scared he wet his pants.
The sudden stench of urine filled the air, leaving everyone present dumbfounded. They stared in wide-eyed shock at this once overbearing scion who had actually peed his pants in public!
Just then, the roar of a car engine suddenly erupted.
Everyone instinctively looked up to see an Audi pulling up beside them.
The car door opened, and a middle-aged man stepped out. He cast a glance at Wang Bing, lying in a pool of blood, emanating a foul stench, and his brows instantly knitted together.
"Xiao Bing, are you alright?" The man called out with a stern face, clearly irritated, "Who did this to you? Just tell me, and I'll make sure justice is served!"
Upon seeing the man, tears streamed uncontrollably from Wang Bing's eyes.
He strained to lift his head to look at Lin Beichen, then turned to the man and said, "Uncle, it's this guy! He wants to kill me! You must avenge me!"
Among the onlookers, someone recognized this middle-aged man as Chen Er, the son of the Patriarch of the Chen Family!
The crowd gasped in shock, knowing the Chen Family's significant status in Port City. This Chen Er was a person of high rank, whose every move could set the city astir!
However, faced with Lin Beichen's indifferent gaze, Chen Er's whole body trembled involuntarily. His face turned pale as he looked at Lin Beichen, feeling a surge of indefinable fear.
For he knew who Lin Beichen was, and even more so, the immense power this young man wielded! Even his father was wary of Lin Beichen, so how could he not be?
Under the incredulous gazes of everyone, a smile unexpectedly blossomed on Chen Er's face.
He approached Lin Beichen with a smile and said, "So it's you, dear nephew? This is like a dragon meeting a deity in his own temple, not recognizing one's own people."
Saying this, he abruptly turned around and landed a heavy kick on Wang Bing!
The sound of bones cracking was accompanied by Wang Bing's screams, leaving everyone in shock! They couldn't understand why Chen Er suddenly switched sides and turned on his own nephew! What happened next left them even more flabbergasted!
After beating Wang Bing nearly to a pulp, Chen Er walked up to Lin Beichen and said humbly, "Dear nephew, can we just let it go for my sake?"
Everyone stared wide-eyed, incredulously at this ordinarily high-ranking figure! They simply couldn't comprehend why Chen Er would bow to a young man!
What Lin Beichen said next shocked them even more!
"Your sake? What sake do you have?"
Lin Beichen raised an eyebrow and said, "I haven't even settled the scores for you using me previously, and you dare come to me with all this nonsense? Do you think you're a big shot?"
The crowd erupted in astonishment!
They hadn't expected this young man to be so disrespectful toward Chen Er!
Nor did they expect Chen Er to swallow his pride and not react!
Who exactly is this young man, to make a high-ranking scion like Chen Er bow down?
At this point, anyone could tell that Lin Beichen's identity was no ordinary one!
No wonder he was so bold when confronting Wang Bing, completely unfazed by World Group!
Upon closer examination, the entanglement between the Luo Family and the Chen Family was exceedingly deep, almost to the point of being irreconcilable.
The series of coincidences made one question the hidden plot beneath.
A stir in Lin Beichen's heart revealed to him the subtle presence of the Chen Family's shadow. With a little investigation, his suspicions were confirmed.
Despite feeling outraged, Lin Beichen refrained from troubling Chen Er, considering the Luo Family's issues.
However, Chen Er seemed to misinterpret his silence, daring to arrogantly demand respect in his presence.
"Dear nephew, what do you mean by that? I'm getting a bit confused?" Chen Er tugged at the corners of his mouth, forcing a slightly awkward smile, "You're our friend Chen Sheng; how could I plot against you? What kind of person do you take me for?"
Everyone was dumbfounded, as Chen Er didn't react immediately when insulted. Clearly, this young man had quite the background, capable of making Chen Er swallow his pride.
Many began to regret their previous disdainful demeanor, worrying this big shot might cause trouble for them in the future, something they simply couldn't afford.
