Luo Zisheng was immediately enraged upon hearing this. With a kick, he sent Luo Xiong flying and angrily shouted, "How dare you scum commit such acts near my Luo Group! Are you spies?" His voice was full of authority and anger, making everyone around him tremble in fear.
Luo Xiong and the others were frightened out of their wits by the allegation of being spies. They repeatedly denied it, but Luo Zisheng remained unmoved, continuing to berate them and threatening to hand them over to the authorities. Onlookers started discussing among themselves, expressing anger and condemnation towards the actions of Luo Xiong and his gang.
Ultimately, Luo Xiong and his group knelt on the ground, kowtowing repeatedly and pleading for mercy. They tearfully admitted their mistakes and promised never to commit such acts again. However, Lin Beichen and Luo Zisheng showed no intention of letting them off easily as they wanted these people to understand the consequences of their actions.
Watching the scene unfold from behind Lin Beichen, Zheng Qian stood dazed. Her big eyes were filled with confusion and curiosity, not understanding why Lin Beichen possessed such an intimidating background and power. But she knew that from today forward, her perception of Lin Beichen would be forever changed.
Seeing this, Luo Xiong and his group frantically kowtowed to Lin Beichen, the dull and loud sound of their foreheads hitting the ground only stopped when blood appeared. Their faces were covered with tears and snot as they wailed, "Mr. Lin, we've realized our mistakes. Do whatever you want with us, just please don't treat us as spies. We have absolutely no relations with espionage and would never dare to get involved in such things."
Although Shadow Stream Media was somewhat famous in the film industry, compared to the massive entity like Luo Group, it was utterly insignificant.
An accusation of being a spy was something they dared not even think about, let alone bear. Therefore, they preferred facing any other punishment than carrying such a heavy allegation.
Lin Beichen glanced at them coldly and said, "Spies? I never said you were spies. Have you ever seen such cowardly and brainless spies who pee their pants in public?"
Luo Xiong and his gang were about to breathe a sigh of relief when Lin Beichen shifted his tone and pointed at the shop owner, who had been helped up, saying, "However, your crimes of assaulting women and maiming people are indisputable. This shop owner was severely injured by you. How do you plan to handle this?"
Upon saying this, Lin Beichen turned to Luo Zisheng and asked, "Young Master Luo, in your opinion, how many years should this situation result in?" Just as Luo Zisheng was about to answer, Lin Beichen interrupted, "I think judging by this shop owner's serious injuries, it's not excessive to sentence them to ten or eight years, right?"
Ten years? Luo Xiong and his group turned pale as paper upon hearing this.
They were no longer young, and if truly sentenced ten years, they would be middle-aged or even elderly upon release — what purpose would life have then?
Just as they were drowning in despair, a round of applause suddenly came from outside the door.
A man with shoulder-length hair, dressed in a singlet and shorts, entered surrounded by several people in black suits. He coldly smiled at Lin Beichen and said, "What a big mouth you have, daring to act so rampant near our company."
The man was none other than the Young Master of Shadow Stream Media, Zhao Haoming. He approached Lin Beichen with an arrogant posture and pointed at his nose saying, "Kid, do you even know whose turf this is? Did you ask me before causing trouble on my territory?"
Seeing Zhao Haoming, Luo Xiong and his group appeared to have seen their savior, crawling before him and tearfully voicing their grievances. Zhao Haoming's face turned even darker upon hearing them and he turned to Lin Beichen saying, "Kid, how dare you humiliate my people like this? If I don't teach you a profound lesson today, my name isn't Zhao Haoming."
But before he could finish, he suddenly let out a shrill and miserable scream.
It was Lin Beichen, who had suddenly grabbed his shoulder, his fingers piercing into the flesh like iron hooks.
Blood instantly soaked Zhao Haoming's clothes, and the intense pain nearly rendered him unable to stand.
When had Zhao Haoming ever suffered such humiliation and pain? He roared trying to break free from Lin Beichen's control, only to find his strength was like that of an ant before this man. His legs gave out and he involuntarily knelt in front of Lin Beichen.
Lin Beichen looked down at him and said, "Young Master Zhao, do you still think I don't dare to do anything to you?"
Zhao Haoming stared furiously at Lin Beichen, wanting to say harsh words yet realizing he was in too much pain to speak.
At that moment, Lin Beichen suddenly let go, flinging Zhao Haoming aside. Zhao Haoming shot towards the kitchen wall like a cannonball, causing a massive rupture upon impact, while embedding in it unable to move. The convulsions and blood-spitting revealed he had suffered severe internal injuries.
Now, Zhao Haoming, the proud eldest of Shadow Stream Media, was in utter disgrace, his face smeared with blood, nose and mouth askew, with his previous arrogance vanishing without a trace. He slumped to the ground, trembling all over, appearing in a pitiful state.
The scene left Luo Xiong and his gang dumbfounded, instinctively wanting to help, but seeing Zhao Haoming's miserable state, their steps involuntarily halted.
"Bastard, how dare you treat me this way!" Zhao Haoming clutched his chest, glaring at Lin Beichen as he let out an angry roar. His shout shocked everyone present awake, leaving them wide-eyed in disbelief at what was unfolding before them.
Lin Beichen had actually reduced Zhao Haoming to such a state? His methods seemed excessively ruthless! Luo Xiong and the others, while shocked, felt a surge of joy within. They knew that a powerful family backed Zhao Haoming, and for this kid to act this way against him, surely spelled his doom.
Yet, just as everyone thought Lin Beichen would soon face total disaster, he surprisingly took initiative and approached Zhao Haoming. He reached out, grasped Zhao Haoming's neck and lifted him up, sporting a mocking smile.
"Seems like it's not me who's courting death, but you." Lin Beichen patted Zhao Haoming's cheek and sneered. His words filled Zhao Haoming with rage, yet he had no strength left to resist.
Watching Zhao Haoming's angry yet fearful expression, Lin Beichen felt a surge of satisfaction. He continued, "Now, I am a kind person, unlike you with your rampant arrogance. Killing is something I would never do. But while a death sentence isn't on the table, punishment is inevitable. I've decided to give you a little lesson to make you remember."
Saying this, he glanced at Zhao Haoming's lower body, a cruel grin forming at the corner of his mouth. Zhao Haoming instantly became exceedingly petrified, his eyes wide as he looked at Lin Beichen and roared, "Do you know who my father is? Do you know who my second uncle is? If you dare lay a finger on me, I promise your family and friends will pay a disastrous price!"
As he finished, the crowd gasped. They hadn't expected Zhao Haoming's powerful background, nor anticipated Lin Beichen's daring actions. For a moment, everyone believed Lin Beichen was destined for ruin.
However, Lin Beichen appeared unaffected by Zhao Haoming's threats. Coldly looking at Zhao Haoming, he suddenly kicked towards his lower body. With a loud bang, Zhao Haoming flew out like a severed kite, crashing heavily against a Benz.
Blood flowed from his lower body, coloring the ground red. Zhao Haoming clutched his wound, his face contorting as he let out a miserable scream. The sudden turn of events left everyone awestruck, their eyes filled with fear and awe as they looked at Lin Beichen.
At that moment, a tall figure suddenly walked in from outside.
