Chapter 649: We can always talk out our feelings
"I suggest that you keep me up to date on your changes, my Lord, even if you have to call on me suddenly. I don’t have many clients to tend to right now, so I have some freedom to be summoned. I also will give you priority since this is such a strange situation." The Doctor told Cass as they got to their feet.
Cass nodded, half attempting to get up as well, then remembering that he was in just Lucian’s shirt, and thought better of it. He sat back down as the Doctor grabbed their bag, shuffling their cloak and stared around the room quickly.
"That’s very kind of you. You don’t have to do that. I would rather you focus on the well-being of the locals over me." Cass told them, much to the angry looks of the others in the room. The Doctor, however, smiled at Cass’ words.
"That, my Lord, is exactly why I am giving you priority. You have done nothing but go against the rumours about you since you’ve entered town, especially when you stepped in to help the orphanage nearby. That, and Ser Ailia and Sir Dustin would never follow someone who would dare harm the town." They slid their gaze to Sir Forsythe who was still guarding the door. "Sir Forsythe was the one who reached out to me originally, and I have no regrets coming to your aide, my Lord. I think I will also find this situation rather interesting as well. It will help many others who are...also different, like you are, my Lord." They said that part gently.
Cass swallowed, taking their words in and nodding slowly. So the Doctor hadn’t originally helped them out of their own goodwill, but instead because Cassian had invested back into the town and Cass had only expanded on that. That was something he had intended to benefit from, he just didn’t think getting a Doctor would be one of the things he would gain.
No matter, Doctors were important, and it was clear that as long as Cass kept up his end of the bargain of protecting the town, the Doctor would do the same. Cass let out a low sigh.
"I’m glad that that was all it took to earn your goodwill. I was planning to help the town expand and become a haven for others already. It’s good to know I won’t get much pushback from the locals." Cass said with a bitter smile. The Doctor smiled warmly at that.
They took their bag in one hand, wrapping their cloak tighter around themselves with the other.
"Yes, well, I doubt you’ll get any pushback from the fairies, of course, but you should be more mindful of the rest. We aren’t as blinded by your greatness, and that of the others you keep in your company, my Lord." The Doctor’s eyes slid pointedly towards Gideon, Edgar, and Lucian in that order. Edgar and Gideon flinched, while Lucian let out a low rumble.
"What did I do?" Lucian asked and the Doctor sighed.
"You aren’t the only long-lived race out there, Draken." The Doctor said dryly, before turning back to Cass. "If you give me more of a warning for a general check up, I can bring more of my things, maybe even an assistant who would rather die than disclose any personal details of clients to anyone else. That way we can do a proper check up of your new organs and their development. I think that would do you well, and probably give you some comfort as well." They hesitated. "After all, I’m not sure if Sir Forsythe told you this, but I tend to specialize in helping others give birth." Cass went pale.
"O-Oh." Cass replied and the Doctor stayed still for a moment.
"Well, that’s your choice, I’m just giving you more options. Thank you for your time, my Lord, and your husbands. Rest well. I’ll see you soon, if you continue down this track." Cass swore they saw a sparkle in their covered eyes before they headed for the door.
"I will escort them to the door and pay them, my Lord." Sir Forsythe said. Byron grunted.
"I will join them." He said easily and Cass nodded. He watched them fade away, listening to the door close and their footsteps fade down the hallway before everything that had just happened hit him.
He was still going to change. His body wasn’t done changing, and the Doctor was fairly convinced that it would be a while before he could. That told Cass a few things.
This wasn’t the first time that they had seen someone transform into a demon, a sex demon at that, and that this was only going to get worse. Cass groaned, bending in half and placing his head in his hands. His breath fanned across his knees, his body aching as he tried to grapple with that truth.
It seemed like the Doctor knew more than they were letting on, but that they also didn’t want to panic Cass. However, that was too little, too late. Cass knew what the Demon King looked like. Knew what his mother looked like too.
Fuck. Fuck!
"I’m going to grow horns." Cass muttered quietly. "And wings, and other weird shit. Fuck. Fuck!" He was quiet in his distress, but that didn’t mean that the others weren’t aware it was happening.
"It’s okay, love. We’ll be here with you as it happens." Gideon told him gently, but Cass shook his head. That was all good and well, but that didn’t help the issue at hand. Cass’ eyes, his smell, his...beautification so that he could attract more mates and why it was happening in the first place.
"If we do it every day, will it speed it up?" Cass muttered out loud.
"My Lord." Sam warned, but it was already too late.
"Cass." Lucian’s voice rumbled before Cass found himself being manhandled by the dragon. Cass worried he was going to do something absurd, but by Lucian standards, it was pretty tame. All that happened was that Cass found he wasn’t sitting on the couch cushions anymore but instead on the firm thighs of the dragon below him. "You’re barely yourself right now. Did you not just hear that Doctor? You need to take this slow. Your body is adjusting. You can’t gorge yourself since it won’t help you." Lucian’s voice was soft, sweet, and it felt more like he was talking to a child and not a man he’d been buried balls deep in only a few hours ago.
Cass’ face warmed at the explanation.
"Lucian’s right, Bunny." Edgar added softly. "I think at most we could do it once or twice every two days. If we did the same amount of activity as we did yesterday every day you would drown." Cass flushed.
"Why would we need to do it to the same level? That was more so that everyone had a turn, right?" Sam closed his ears as Cass spoke, turning on his heel and giving them some space without being asked. Cass didn’t even notice it, not at first, as Edgar, Gideon and Lucian softened.
"Did you think that was the reason?" Lucian asked carefully and Cass nodded.
"Was that...not it?" Cass asked and Gideon sighed.
"No, I think you’re right, Cass. Whether we’d said it out loud or not. It just...made a lot of sense to be together the first time." Cass nodded.
"So we don’t need to be together all the time, right?" Cass asked, hopeful. "We can just do it...once or twice a day, right?" Cass wasn’t sure why he was pleading, or why he felt so desperate. His chest felt tight as the words left his lips. Was this because he wanted more sex? Or because he was anxious about not being able to control his body properly? Cass wasn’t sure that both weren’t true, he just couldn’t put his finger on what the ratio for both were if that was the case.
"Cass." Lucian growled. "You’re asking a lot of us. Are you asking us to make a schedule? Rotate who fucks you? That’s not very romantic." Lucian complained and Cass blinked.
"Why would I ask you to do that?" Cass asked. Turning his big, heart-shaped eyes towards Lucian. "I was just suggesting that we don’t try to do it all together, all the time." Cass threaded his fingers together, fidgeting with them nervously as he sat in Lucian’s lap. Cass licked his lips nervously, unaware once more how the others hung on that simple movement. "I just...it’s kind of like how it was before. How you took turns feeding me before just...more active." Cass breathed. He wasn’t even sure what he was saying.
He dropped his head, staring at his hands for a moment. He felt silly and stupid and small. He was panicking. There, that’s what it was. After all of the assurance that the Doctor had brought, now Cass was faced with the fact that while what he was going through wasn’t fully abnormal, it didn’t mean that there was an easy and quick solution.
"I just fucking hate that I’m stuck in between like this." Cass whispered. "I’m sorry for being inconsiderate. I know it’s not just sex. Blow jobs aren’t the same kind of physical intimacy. I know that, I just-" Cass found himself crushed against the warm, bouncy chest of the newly shedded dragon. Cass let out a squeak as Lucian sighed, holding Cass tightly against him.
"You silly man." Lucian muttered. "You just needed to explain that. I’m sorry for getting all tense over my own feelings and confusion, but you’re right in your feelings. It’s okay. We’re getting caught up in the fact that we have to share you, even amongst each other." Cass blinked, feeling Lucian’s hearts beat against his skin. It was an oddly soothing feeling, listening to the two staccato beats. One was low and slow while the other was fast and quick.
Cass wondered what they both controlled if they were beating at different times? And why hadn’t he noticed that before?
"I have to share you guys too with each other. You think I don’t also have issues with that?" Cass asked, raising his gaze up towards the others. They seemed surprised at Cass’ voiced feelings. "It’s not easy for me to let you all mix and mingle, but that’s to be expected. I come from a culture where what we’re doing is...strange. Not the norm, but I wouldn’t deny you your attraction to each other because you haven’t denied my attraction to each of you either. It’s...going to be messy." Cass hesitated as he watched each of them melt slowly at Cass’ words.
"It is messy, isn’t it?" Edgar added softly, giving a small chuckle. "After all, it wouldn’t be easy if it was worth doing." Edgar said. Gideon nodded.
"I agree. Maybe...we need a rotation at first but we’ll find our own flow after a while." He suggested. Edgar gave a nod in agreement.
"We could even just watch, if we want." Edgar added. "I think that would be fine, as long as the others were okay with it too." Lucian’s chest rumbled and the others froze. Only Cass was intimately familiar with that sound. Edgar and Gideon hadn’t had as much time getting familiar with it.
"I personally would like to see how many rooms we can do it in before we get caught. We can make a map." Cass couldn’t believe the conversation that they were having, but he was even more shocked by what he said next.
"...I can make stickers to mark each person. We can see who gets snatched to different corners the most." Cass suggested. All of the men lit up at that suggestion and Cass let out a soft sigh. Well, it sounded like a fun, non competitive thing that they could do.
Where could this go wrong?
